I have had several victories in the past 24 hours.

For the first time ever, someone said to me, "I can tell you work out." :)

Last night, a friend hosted her first CABI party--she has just started to do this direct sales gig for clothes and I went more for moral support than anything. The clothes were very nice, although beyond my budget. She asked me to model jackets several times during her presentation. Towards the end, we were able to try on the pieces we liked. It is so much fun to not worry about clothes to hide this or that bulge! Another friend started picking out outfits for me to try on. These are clothes that I would have never thought to choose for myself, but almost everything looked great!

This morning, at the gym, I not only reached, but blew past the goal for the Aug strength training challenge--on the 7th of the month, no less. That was the goal for women, but I am confident I can reach the men's goal with no problem. I have set a personal goal beyond that of a quarter of a million pounds for the month. I am feeling very strong today!

Who needs a scale to tell me this whole thing is working!?! :)

Wow! 250k pounds??? How many pounds are you doing per work out? I'm new to the whole Gym thing and have used both Jefit & BodySpace to track work outs and was getting impressed when I saw my workout poundage go up as I pushed (and pulled) myself. I can't do any lower body workouts, but I'm able to hit just over 10k pounds per workout with upper body. That's an awesome goal!

Last month I was pretty dedicated and was able to log 188,000 lbs. I do about 9,000 when I do an upper body workout and about 14,000 when I do my legs. I think if I push myself, a quarter million is not out of the questions.

So what do you do keep track of everything and the reps? My gym has no challenges so not sure how this works. I just keep track on my own, on most things I just know what I set it at and how many reps I did last time. and when I can go above a certain reps or it feels too easy I up the weights.

My Y has the Fit Linxx system. Each machine has a log in screen that reminds me what I did last time I used it. Everything is tracked by the system and I can easily see my daily, weekly, or monthly totals for strength & cardio. I can also log in online and enter any workouts I do that were outside the gym. It is all pretty handy as I often lose track of the my count of reps! :)
