What did you do Today? I crushed my morning workout increased the numbers on push ups and pull-ups to 26 and 12.
One thing about wanting to lose weight, I found a lot of people get hung up on the scale (me too sometimes) and what the tape says, when I think we really should be aware of the fact when you climb a flight of stairs you are no longer out of breath, When you get on a plane you don't need an extender, your blood pressure cholesterol and all of your other numbers are down, once you are happy with these the weight and the tape will go your way. It is about being healthy and enjoying life to me not what the scale says or how skinny I am, it is that I can go outside and play with my grandson for hours and not be tired, it is if I want to hike a 14,000ft mountain I can, it is the fact that I can go up the stairs at work faster than the folks that take the elevator.
Life just live it to the best you can. Sorry for my rant, but I know you all are cool with it. Have a great Thursday.

This is so perfect and so right...I also get hung up on the scale sometimes and take for granted the fact that last month when I got bloodwork done it came back PERFECT and that I can run a mile without wanting to die...do I wish my a** was smaller? Of course, but gosh darn it, I'm much better than where I was a year ago, thank you for the reminder :)

Yep!! I was just now huffing my way up six flights of stairs (because I walk down to the basement to use the bathroom) and remembering a mere month ago when I had to stop and catch my breath after each flight and thought I was going to have a heart attack by the time I made it to the 6th floor. Now I can do it without stopping. It hurts by the time I get to the last step (step number 144!!), but I can do it! Even if I haven't lost much yet, I can already feel that I'm in WAY better shape! I should work on pull ups. I have a pull up bar at home and my 17 year old can do like a dozen pull ups before he quits from boredom. I told him if he wanted a real workout, he should lift me up and help me do just one pull up! :)

It wasn't a rant - it was a thoughtful observation that many people often miss in their quest for lower numbers. Well said, Rockiesfan.

It's true. You could be 120 pounds and be unhealthy. Turn around and weigh 150 and be fit as a fiddle.

Good comments. I'll add one of my own, that the constant pain in knees and ankles is gone, constant pain meds are gone, and not limping around daily
