Trigger. That seems to be the "in" word for when you really want something or something that sets you off to do something you shouldn't--like eat on a diet--LOL. Hubby made homemade chocolate chip cookies last night. They smelled so good, but they weren't that hard to resist. I'm not a real big sweets eater, so yeah, I wanted one, but it wasn't hard to say no to. My trigger? I figured it out. Tomato Sauce--like on pizza or spaghetti. I crave pizza, but I've gotten through that quite a few times. Tonight, hubby made his awesome pasta. Of course, I had my fish (and it had yummy crabmeat in it--LOL). I am smelling this spaghetti sauce and it's driving me crazy. I had to walk out of the kitchen (I was cleaning) and come in our computer room. Does anyone else have one food or scent that "triggers" you?

Pizza is my biggest nemesis, although I have actively been avoiding going anywhere near the doughnut shop all week. :)

Arghhh...pizza would be hard so I avoid it and any place that serves it...although since I changed my food, I have few cravings.

Jonathon--LOL--you can have three barenaked Hooter's wings and it's not real bad--if you were good with calories prior to having them. LOL LOL LOL.

HCB and Izzy--pizza is mine, too--although...I found out tonight, it's actually the tomato sauce.

Mexican food is probably my biggest weakness. I'm not as tempted by sweets. Queso, now that's a different story, lol

I also love potato salad and deviled eggs. Both of those would be harder than pizza for me to pass up. I seriously have to make that cauliflower crust pizza again. It wasn't too bad. I'm too busy this weekend, but maybe next weekend for that.

Oh, I forgot--yes--tacos and fajita's. How about a healthy fish taco or fajita (shrimp, even)? It's the fajita spice that makes those and the fresh tomatoes for the tacos. LOL. No sour cream or guacomole (or use lowfat).

Yes me too Veggie! I am in Ca. where Mexican food is almost on every block. I had to get real mad at my husband, because he wouldn't stop bring in the goodies! Now they are all out of my house! Sometimes I think that we have to clean house, and make our families understand how important this diet for us. :) I will say a prayer for you Jill, that God to help you say "no!" :) GB~Ann

Fried chicken. The smell makes me crazy. So I do my own. I make a dusting of whole wheat flour, French's No Salt, lots of pepper and onion powder. I pop the chicken in the bag, shake, fry the chicken in a little olive oil until both sides are crispy and then put them in the oven to finish cooking. Which also cooks a lot of the fat out.

My "wing" events tend to cone in the dozens. I couldn't stop at three unless some one shot me as I picked up number four; & that's only a maybe at best.
