Artic blast per the weather report rolling in overnight. Dang low back really hurts today, worst day since I fell on my butt ice skating. Skipped my treadmill plans. Dinner, didn't eat much, wasn't hungry cup of soup and 1/2 baked potato. Peanut butter sandwich and 1/2 apple all day before then. Worked through lunch. My lunch is sitting in the frig at work, peanut butter sandwich was breakfast.

No gym tomorrow have to be home right after work to meet the drain guy. Laundry/kitchen drain is backing up. Have a mess to clean up NY's day or sooner.

New project parrot food has gotten pricey, up another $2.00 for about 2.5 pounds it's now $18.00 for the all natural pellets. My bird also wastes about 1/2 of it. Time to learn how to make natural food for my bird. Doing research on it. Made some quickie tonight with what had on hand he loved it!! Have to make sure it as enough protein though and other nutrients, dried fruits and veggies. Gabby needs some good food as well me

The countdown begins, the new natural food store opens closer to home January 21st. I'm so exited.

After having gone through a complete rehaul of my own diet, I can't imagine how crazed I'd be trying to figure out how to best feed my precious furry (and feathered) friends! I shudder at the thought of what I used to feed my dog years ago. But I guess we all just do the best we can with the funds and info we have.

I still buy my dogs commercial dry food, not enough time to make food to feed 2 dogs. I do make their treats. So much of the bird food has artificial colors, I buy the so called natural pellets but it still has lots of junk in it and he throws about half on the bottom of his cage so $18.00 for a pound of consumed food is crazy!! I'm going to try doing something he will eat a higher percentage of and be healthy.

WFN, I am sorry about the weather affecting your pain level, it literally sucks when our bodies act like a barometer. What kind of pain relief regiment are you using? Natural or prescription? Are you consistent? Or can you find any relief? As for me it's going to be a tea and hot chocolate kind of day. And it's a balmy 8 degree's here this morning so I can feel it a bit in my knee's. Even my pup and older dog are feeling the temperature change. ** Have you ever tried Pinterest? I've been starting with feeding my dog's by making my own dog food and with a bit of commercialized dog food kibble. I look for anything made in the USA, as still is no set standardization on food for critter's. As it sound's like you feel the same way about you feed yourself and your pets. **Aww the joy's of home ownership. I find being retire everything cost 20 grand or more for what we want to do. Not fun. Some tough choice's to make. As for me it's going to be a tea and hot chocolate kind of day. ** Well, perhaps WFN this means that 2015 will have less expensive's for you on all aspect's and for the rest of us. Truly, Jen

Pain is due to crashing while Ice skating with my grandkids. Grins. we had a blast. The chronic pain I used to have is gone due to weight loss, exercise, and healthier foods. This is an injury so this is just aleve and aspirin, not push it too much, stay warm this 10 degrees is not nice to this old body. Thought about pinterest this morning but haven't been there yet. More researching parrot nutrition to determine what nutrients I need. he gets bity people food snacks all the time, a little Quacker only 7 oz. this morning a tsp of banana and a kale leaf.Pups don't get the people food but variety of foods is best for parrots.

I feel that way when I see the birds fling the seeds all over the yard... and then they eat the grass seed instead of their food. Kids.. what are you gonna do? Happy New Year Jeri. Let's have a great one, shall we?
