Mischieve's Journal, 25 November 2014

Not really sure what I'm doing on this site. I'm not sure it will make a difference, but I'm going to give it a shot. I lost 25lbs last month but have been stalled for two weeks now. I will be traveling next week and REALLY need to figure this out asap or I will use the stall as a reason to fall off completely. I must be getting extra carbs somewhere!

Well this site is a tool to help you keep track of food and get moral support for weight loss. People also have great tips when needed. You just take what applies to your and your life. On that note, switching things up can help when the scale won't move. Up your protein and fiber intake. Up your exercise duration or intensity. Take a different class to use different muscles. Go out for walks and be active over the holidays. It can negate the Thanksgiving meal. Good luck!

not much logged in your food journal, so hard to say if you're getting extra carbs somewhere. if you log everything you'll be better able to spot where you might be able to tweak your diet. make sure your mayo is real mayo - the other stuff has carbs (sugar) added. up your fat (rather than protein) and definitely drink lots and lots of water. any little bit of exercise you can add is always a plus. don't use the holidays as an excuse to fail; you can do this!

Hey Mischieve.. ok.. just to let you know.. I use this site, and it's free app, to record my foods-- and try to be honest with your recording.. if you stay within the RDI.. it will work.. IN April of 2014... I started out at 373.4 lbs... I cut out a lot of sweets, started eating healthier, and watch my calorie intake.. I am now bout 276 to 280 lb range! Yes Today Novemeber 25th.. I am nearing the 100 lb lose marker... it can be done! But it depends upon you and how honest you want to be.. and how dedicated you want to be losing the weight... ONe of the biggest thing that I have found is that my body has gone under a lot of changes.. and well I think one of the side effects tht I have faced are harsher depressions than normal.. These group of people are wonderful support... I strongly suggest that you keep journalling.. in your food, and here in the forums.. Good luck...

Water and exercise and no booze or extra sweets make the biggest difference! Also make sure you eat every 3 hours to boost your metabolism...I have a hard time with that...i start eating far too late in the day - 9:40 am seems to be the time i start my food day.

Wow! Thanks y'all! I update my food log and its honest. I am currently in Saudi Arabia (going back to the states on Sunday, yay!!) so dieting is a bit harder in some areas, and easier in others. I will keep on logging and sharing. It's nice to know that a huge change is possible! Congrats on the 100 Hoosier!
