So today I turn 50 half a century, well that is not bad for a guy who when I was 18 I weighted 242, then had to lose 5lbs to get in the Army, So as of my 50th today I am at 208 with a 34.5 waist and about 18-19% body fat so I really don't think that is to bad for an old man, with screws in his foot, a fake knee and no knee cap, a cage in my c-spine from fusion and degenertive disks in my lower back so if I can do it anyone out there can stay fit and lose weight and have some fun with life.

Happy birthday! The fifties are great. I am 57 and I like being this age. Cool looking car in your profile picture. My dad had an auto body repair shop so I remember sanding a few left rear quarter panels. Ha! We drove a Ford Torino and my husband's had an ORANGE Chevy Vega.

Happy Birthday! I'm ahead of you a few years. I don't think I can be fitter than I was 18-22 years of age but I'd love to be at least close to that. That's a nice looking car you've got, bet it's fun to drive.

I will turn 51 at the end of the Month. 50 has not been bad at all. I think as we age we learn so much about ourselves and our bodies if we want to. To be able to say you are in better shape than at 18 is amazing. Especially when you start to mention the physical problems. I too have back problems and have always found that to be limiting. I'd love to know more about your exercise routines because that is an area where i am sorely lacking. I use the pain as an excuse more often than not.

Thank you all very much, i greatly appreciate all the support on here, it is awesome like you folks. Alexzwk I used to use the pain as an excuse but the more I worked through it and have gotten strong the pain seems to go down. I know with the knee replacement I still have pain but deal with it as for my back I get nerve blocks about every three months just so I can move around with little pain in my back. Mostly when I workout I just clear mind and think of nothing.
