Do you weigh your food?

No but I know it’s not more than cup I put on small plate

I gotta tell you. Weigh your food. For instance 1 tablespoon of peanut butter weighs more than the 16 gram that the jar says is a tablespoon. It adds up fast. In fact 1 tablespoon of peanut butter weighs closer to 32 grams that the jar states is 2 tablespoons. You will be surprised how many things are like this. Even when I bake now I use the gram measurement and weigh the ingredients. Probably too many words to say that many of us here have discovered there is a difference when you weigh your food.

I will try to do that now see if I’m cheating myself somewhere. Thank you love ❤️

I agree with Cm, weigh your food in grams, much more accurate than ounces or tablespoons and calories add up amazingly quickly. Also find your RDI (recommended daily intake) and drink your water, at least 8 glasses a day. These are all things those people you see losing weight are doing if they are counting calories. Good luck on your journey! 🌈

are you on any particular diet? if you were on a no wheat, low carb diet. you should lose weight quickly.

Emma, each of us is different, I eat lots of wheat and carbs, also white rice, pasta and potatoes. But, I weigh and measure everything I eat, keep a food diary in which I log EVERYTHING. Glad your WOE is working for you. 🌈

It sounds so simple but it can make a difference. Yes I agree also use an RDI calculator (online) and be sure you are working with the right caloric allowance. But then weigh out your portions. It doesn’t take much to push you over and then each day that adds up to either gains or no losses. You get used to weighing things. Also, be sure to record all of your food - and even better, record before you eat it. This way you can avoid the “oh crap, I should not have had that snack” if you are too close to the caloric limit for the day🤗

Also, 2 separate people told me this very week that once they re-started weighing their food and recording it etc. they started to lose again.

Weighing your food is best. Once you have a GOOD mental relationship with food, then I recommend switching to intuitive eating but self control and a healthy relationship with food has to be ingrained! However, dietary adherence (however that may look to you) is the only way someone will lose weight. So, keep it up! Most plateau at some point with loosing weight but they always get past it :)
