I have never used a broccoli leaf for anything.. I guess this is a bit like the way they use banana leaves in Malaysia to cook food too! What's inside I'm bursting to know. Plus did you eat leaves and all...?

We grow our own broccoli and I hate wasting good food. The leaves are basically identical to kale but way less bitter and fibrous. I usually slice them up and add to stir fry or soups, but steaming them and stuffing works great. I eat the whole leaf except the stems. This is stuffed with rice, onion, mushroom, and a cashew based cream sauce with lots of garlic and spices. Kind of like a risotto. The leaves crisp up just loke kale chips in the oven... And taste way better!
