The combination of IF (Intermittent Fasting 16:8) and WW (Weight Watchers) is going well, and relatively painless. Seems kind of slow, but I feel better, so I'm willing to be patient.

On November 11th I started Intermittent Fasting 16:8 in conjunction with Weight-watchers Green. I was on WW for 2 years and just couldn't seem to get beyond a 1 - 2 lb. loss. Going to the workshops kept me able to maintain, but I just couldn't seem to convince myself to track what I ate and actually do the program. Not gaining alone made the program worthwhile.
But I hadn't realized how much damage I was actually doing with evening snacking. Now I stop eating after dinner (sometimes as early as 5PM and never later than 7PM) and don't eat again until at least 16 hours later (usually 10AM, sometimes as late as 11AM). And I'm doing the tracking and working the program in WW. This seems to be working!
I've only lost 6.6 lbs, but I was able to get into my "skinny jeans" this week without feeling like the waistband was trying to strangle me.
So naturally one of my ongoing resolutions for 2020 is to lose weight, but this year it is more specifically to stick to IF and WW. Slowly, but surely, I expect to see the weight come off and to make this my new WOL.

Haven't been here for quite a while though I have for the most part been attending WW workshops. Can't say I've really been following the program though. I'm glad to see I haven't gained anything but many of my clothes are starting to feel uncomfortable and I'd really like to get some new ones (but in a lower size). So it's time to get serious.

A little backsliding but it is the 1st day of the month and a good day for new determination and positive thoughts. Need to get more veggies and fruit into my life.

Back to WW meeting yesterday. What a great positive group of people! I don't know why I miss so many meetings lately. I had actually lost 2.6 lbs since the last time I went 4 weeks ago, but I had started worrying about not at least maintaining. Sometimes just managing to not gain is enough. Mow I'm newly motivated and I'm determined I will be at the next meeting as well.
