No change in weight, but that's ok, just happy no increase. I've found it's easier to watch what you eat at others' birthday parties than your own!! When someone else is treating you, it's sort of required that you eat what they have provided, including birthday cake! I must admit it was good and, since I don't have any family around, I do appreciate their efforts, especially the young people who have "adopted" me as a grandparent. Now back to normal till Thanksgiving!!! Hopefully can lose a few more lbs before then, would like to go into the holiday season at about 130 so that I have a little leeway for functions and parties. I don't expect to hit my final goal by year end, but hopefully won't have too much to carry over into the new year.

Just a tiny loss but, as Warren says, green arrow good!! Still need to work on getting my walking back up to plan -- sitting in dr. offices is not conducive to moving! (lol)

Dr. visit yesterday. She was very pleased with blood work numbers, I'm now in "normal" BMI range (even fully dressed, in fall clothing). BP medication cut in half. Might be able to reduce it more, but because it also controls my heart rate, she wants to take it one step at a time -- will see the cardiologist in January and if BP stays down, he may be able to adjust more at that time. I am really fortunate to have doctors that listen to me, work together, and don't want to do drastic things that may or may not work!! She even said that I didn't really need to lose any more weight, but I still think a few more lbs. won't hurt. And I need to start working on muscle now, especially on the arms -- pain in both shoulders have limited upper body exercise for the last month, but better now so I can start doing some weight work, but still need to take it easy so I don't re-injure them.
Yesterday was terrible diet-wise -- MH was honoree at a charity golf tournament and lunch consisted of hot dogs, chips, soda and soft ice cream! I had one hot dog, passed on the chips, found a bottle of water, and had a tiny bowl (condiment) bowl of ice cream. I did manage to keep calories under control, carbs under 100, but sodium was high -- drank more water when I got home and will watch the sodium for the next several days (I do not use added salt at home, so should be able to flush it out in a few days.) And it does make me feel good to know that his efforts are still remembered although he has been gone 2-1/2 years already!! My, how time has flown!!!

Fall is here and I feel like hibernating! Just curling up under the covers and sleeping till spring. I remember back in the '60's there was a weight loss program where they put you to sleep for 6 weeks at a time -- 'course, they fed you with an IV and had therapists to massage and exercise your muscles, so your body didn't deteriate! (lol) Besides, someone has to feed my Panda -- he says he's a perfect weight, no diet for him!!! So I guess I'll just have to keep plugging away!!

Blood tests this week, then doctor visit next week. Hopefully the progress I have made will show in test results. If not, at least I can now get into the smaller sizes in my closet!
