A funeral and several other errands and projects this week kept me from my usual exercise, so I was pleasantly surprised to see another slight drop on the scale. Need to get back to it, though, so I don't lose the progress I've made so far. I know most of the loss has to come from diet, that I've done pretty well with (total calories OK, but still need to work on carbs -- although most of them are the good kind. I still miss bread and pasta, but not as much as I thought I would.) But I need to keep up the exercise, if for no other reason than if I'm walking, I'm not eating!

Waahoo! I just noticed my bar has turned yellow -- I was really getting tired of orange!! (lol) Should be a relatively quiet week -- if all my friends can stay out of the hospital!! Getting old can really be a pain -- sometimes I wonder if it really does beat the alternative!!!

As Warren says, green arrow down good! Slow but steady -- Would like to do something to speed it up a bit, but due for blood work next week, so I'm going to stick with what's working till after that. I don't want to do anything drastic that might distort the "normal" numbers since my goal is to reduce the meds I'm taking, not add to them!

Yesterday would have been MH's 75th birthday, and we always used his birthday and the 4th of July for a 2 day celebration, and more if it fell on a weekend! Made this holiday harder to get through than some others, and I am fortunate to have friends that keep me busy during those -- although, nowadays most of "keeping busy" involves food!! I miss my younger days when we danced and played off all those calories! If I tried some of that now, I'd have to call AAA to get me home! Well, after a cookout tonight, things will get back to "normal" -- I think I said that before, but hopefully no one will again need rides to doctors/hospitals, etc. that mess up my schedule! (lol) Getting old is not easy!!

Another month begins -- welcome to July!! I didn't do as well as I had hoped the last couple of days of June. Spent them taking a friend who can't drive to visit her husband in the hospital, and then getting things ready to bring him home. So I didn't get my usual exercise in, and didn't drink as much water as normal -- hadn't planned to be tied up so long yesterday, so I didn't take as much water with me as I should have, and just couldn't justify $3.00 a bottle! Now, it was only $2.00 for soda -- go figure!! Our health care system at work???? Make us fat, and then treat us for obesity and the related problems!! Oh, well. Anyway, back to my routine starting today, and hopefully for the rest of the month! Good luck, and good losing, to all of us!!!
