Hi. My name is Noel. I am 38 years old. I'm a single mother of 2 great kids. They are 12 and 8. I work for the city as a dispatcher. I had gastric bypass in June of 2015 and so far as of today 11/22/2016 I have lost 153 pounds. My goal is to get to at least 140 so that is about another 57 to go. I have always suffered from gastrointestinal distress and even after years of different tests and medications nothing can be found. So after gallbladder removal, a double hernia repair, and gastric bypass I started really researching and taking notice of when and where and why I was getting the flare ups. I discovered it usually occurred after I ate starchy carbs or real sugar. So after months of looking at different programs I decided Keto was the program for me. I have been doing it now for 2 weeks although I have occasional slip ups I feel like it is helping. I finally got under 200 pounds with it and I feel after I get through the detox and keto flu in the beginning this will be a great lifestyle.
Exercise...lol the dreaded word. I don't get a whole lot right now because of my schedule. I usually have to get up during the week at 330 am to commute to work and don't get home til about 7pm and at that point I just want to go to bed. I do walk a lot during my commute switching from bus to light rail. I get in total maybe 2.5 miles a day plus I have an active job where I am constantly moving or lifting heavy things. My goal is to eventually start CrossFit and start walking the jogging 5ks. I just don't have the time right now.
