I feel so beaten today! It is a rainy, ugly day. My hip is sore and hubby is having a bad back day, plus he's dizzy. We got the insurance check but after they took off for depreciation and our deductible, we only got about 50% of what it will cost us to replace all three roofs. Really Thankful for what we received- better than paying 100% out of our pockets. I am just tired of all the recent major expensive repairs coming all at once. Counting my Blessings

Rainy day here in DE. Found a blouse I bought last summer-never wore it- until today. Soft and silky- comfy. I am feeling so much better. Continuing to heal.
Slowly getting back on track with my eating. Writing down what goes in my mouth helps me. I have so many projects to make but procrastination is my middle name. So for now I am focusing on getting my hip back to normal. Hubby is still a big concern- BHP issues- hoping the scope does not find any cancer. He hides his emotions until he has a complete melt down. After what he has been through this year, he could use some good news. Please keep him in your prayers. Have a great day. Keep smiling. Hugs and Blessings to all.

I caved last night and took some Celebrex for my hip pain. It feels so much better today. I was taken off it do to Kidney GFR changes. But I am going to take my chances... but only for a few days. I have to be able to drive hubby home from his scope on Thursday. It's going to be a long day 2 hours driving plus sitting waiting for him.
I finally did my laundry and stripped my bed- Oh it hurt so bad. Took forever to get it done. I put on my Fall quilt and soft blanket- the nights are getting cooler and I seem to mind the cooler nights more then I use to. Diet wise, well honestly not much to pick from so eating what we have- more carbs then I would like. We were gifted some sweets- trying to get hubby to eat some so I do not eat them all myself. Planning on making some BBQ-chicken drumsticks for dinner. Also making some roasted chicken thighs to make some chicken salad for lunches. Missing my fresh veggies. Have to wait until next week when I get paid. We still have some of those frozen dinner from the Health insurance (they are not very good- the "meat" beef, pork or chicken all have such a grainy texture and no taste- like they have been cooked, ground up and molded into a shape). The calories in these meals runs 350 to 450. So I would not be going over and trust me- it kills your appetite but it's better than nothing. I am stressing about hubby- what will they find and what will the insurance company allow us for the roof? I know I am a worry wart. But money is so short right now, had to pay school taxes-which went up. I think we are blessed that we have a roof over our head, the bills are paid, and I am able to feed us with what we have. Prayers answered --Thank you Jesus!

Hip is still really sore, bent over to pick up something in the kitchen and the pain was awful. I will be making a doctor appointment, but only after hubbies Urology scope on Thursday. Have to drive an hour to doctor. Then wait until he is done. Keep him in your prayers that there is no cancer. please.
Keeping saltine on nightstand. I am eating 5 crackers before I take my PM meds- hoping that keeps the rflex down and I don't get up to eat at night. So far 2 nights I have slept all the to morning... Fingers crossed. Enjoy your Holiday, stay safe. Hugs to all

Well it has been a very stressful few weeks. I really have not been eating right, or sleeping. Getting up in the middle of the night and eating whatever or anything. NOT GOOD I KNOW.. Trying to get the stress taken care of for my hubby. Now waiting to find out about then roof. A very dear friend of ours brought us some crabs. We clean them and wash them, then season them and steam them. I use Old Bay, Kosher salt, vinegar, i- 12 oz beer and 1 cup of water to steam them. After they are cooled I ladle just a little broth over them to keep them moist. Put them in a tight sealed container and refrigerate until we eat them. Yummy
