soaking chicken in buttermilk overnight makes all the difference in the world. Tender, juicy and succulent. No matter the receipe, make this one a priority. I just made it for a client and "hello nurse", it turned out outrageously good. I'm and, of course, the client are happy campers! lol

My last call, woman asked if I would consider a roommate? Why, I asked, because my daughter said that if I don't stop smoking, I'll have to leave, she said. My daughter is trying to stop smoking and wants me to do the same and if I don't, she'll kick me out. Wow. I told her she would not be alone and I could help her. We all go through life and never know what God's plan is. We'll see. She loves to be around family and I totally understand. Daughter has been going through life changes as well (brain aneurysm) which everyone knows is life threatening. Daughter has memory problems and is very confrontational but I just keep going and take care of her mom. I talk to mom about diet and exercise (limited mobility) but just walk around the court yard (one lap) would be a start. Afterall, if you don't use it, you lose it. I've only been there twice and she stated that she feels like she's known me forever. lol sweet.

Haven't been weighing myself on a daily basis but everyone is telling me I'm losing weight. Okay I'll take it. lol Probably am losing but forget to weigh in the morning but the clothes are loose and I feel good. I've been so busy worrying and taking care of people that I forget to take care of me. I've been trying to get two (just 2) days off to take care of the house and something comes up whether it's an appointment or other, yeow did anyone think that retirement was slow? Not even, we find ourselves connected to those less fortunate and trying to help them out.

To those caregivers Ever wonder if they care as much for you as you do for them? I cancelled an appointment today to get a day off and was assured someone would take care of the appt. Guess what? They didn't show and the woman called me. I quickly scheduled an appt with her for tomorrow. So much for the weekend! I don't leave people missing service. Dag gone it! On a happier note, hope no one is offended but I heard the funniest remark to hot food:
"It's hotter than a doorknob on a whorehouse on payday" LMAO!!!!
As this was my weekend for cooking, I promised her a homecooked meal: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and vegetable normandy with Terriaki honey ginger sauce. Hello Nurse! lol It's cooking as I type this!
