OK, finally a bio ...
Been on this earth for 49 years (soon to be 50!) and am grateful for every day I am given. My husband and I have two children, a preteen girl and a teenage boy. This year, we will celebrate 15 years of marriage on our anniversary.
I was always athletic and into sports. I grew up playing tennis and softball and stayed active throughout my 20's and early thirties. I picked up my freshman 10 lbs in my college days and stabilized there. Then came marriage followed by children. I was married at 33 years old and had my son at 35 and my daughter when I was 37. Both pregnancies were difficult and I was sick every day throughout. I had to go into the hospital overnight quite a few times to get rehydrated from all of the vomiting. Between the two pregnancies, I picked up weight and peaked at 188 lbs on my 5'4" frame.
I joined an excellent bootcamp a few years ago and lost 60 lbs, however, it was expensive and we needed to cut back when my husband was diagnosed with non-hodgekins lymphoma. Thank the Lord he is cancer-free today and going strong. I ended up gaining about half of the weight back within the last two years between stress eating, not exercising, and the holidays.
Time to get back on track! I joined our community center and really enjoy going. My twin sister and I are planning a trip this year with two other high school classmates to commemorate our "youthful 50's" ... I WILL BE FABULOUS! :-)
Thanks to everyone for their support. This website is the best! I get such encouragement and great tips from the posts I read. God is good and I am truly blessed!
