I've not had a really good year, health wise...but have hope still for much improvement in 2022.
After my fall on the ice and shoulder injury in February, chronic foot ailments, high sugar numbers from my poorly controlled diabetes and a round with Meniere's issues this month, mobility and stability troubles...I am ready to get off the bus and take up residence at home.
I have 3 work days left and I will retire after a 42 year run in the work force. I have been blessed immensely and am very thankful to be here still. God willing, I will have some good years left, to enjoy and appreciate.

I thought this was cute...I don't do Halloween tho the day is special as it's my Mom's Birthday. She passed away in 2013. I love and miss her still...but have to be glad she hasn't had to deal with today's turmoil, troubles and the daily stupidity in this world.

Had to get a new scale. My old one was showing false loss apparently. Tho I did NOT like the uptick...it is what it is and being honest and accepting that is key.
I want to do a U-Turn and see better results...(real ones) soon!

Oh yay!
I gave my notice at work today. I plan to retire the end of the year after 42 years of work, almost 24 here.
The boss was very appreciative of my advance notice as it will give them time to shift and shuffle and cover all the bases.
He understood about the stress of my injury in February when I fell on the ice, trying to get to work and injured the left shoulder.... and it's worse than the right, which happened the same way and took 2 years to heal. Then with the feet troubles, my diabetes issues...haggling now with my insurance over their dropping my Novolog from the formulary and I am out. God is aware of all the details.
I did leave a message at my Dr.'s office about some samples to cover me while they find something as an alternative to my Novolog. Hope to hear from them soon.

I woke up to a low sugar reading at 9:00 last night. It was only 58. Yikes. I hadn't finished dinner (pimento cheese and Ritz) so had a bottle of orange juice and the rest of dinner and went back to bed. At 11:30 it was 102 so I let it ride.
My endo Doc's goal for my FBS is 160, to get below 200 consistently. I hit below 200 5 times in a week and want to hit my goal, lose some weight and reduce my triglycerides and A1C by January when I do labs again.
