For the last 6 months, I have followed Weight Watchers, but I quit that program today. I had lost about 20 pounds and was within about 6 pounds of my goal weight, and I was in a great groove, and then they changed the rules yet again. After struggling through December, I realized that I was never going to be within my weekly points on the new program. Also, I am fighting high cholesterol.

I am retired and live in the San Francisco Bay area in California. My hobbies are reading, doing puzzles of various kinds, cooking and watching baseball.

Good Morning and Merry Christmas!
Good job, Joan. I also fled from Weight Watchers - on Christmas Day. Their new program does not suit me. I had lost 30 pounds over a period of several years of ups and downs. But I am still 5-6 over my goal weight and determined to get there. Just stumbled upon this site, so we shall see what happens.

Weight Watchers decided sugar was really evil a year or two ago, and they increased the points dramatically for anything with sugar in it. I had to give up my traditional, heavily sugared morning cup of tea. It was so hard.

Your plan sounds great. Good luck!

Hi
Happy New Year! It is good to have a goal for 2018. I don't think your diet plan sounds very healthy. It is important to consume fruit, vegetables and fiber. You don't have to have kale or avocado. Why don't you at least add one banana per day to your diet? That would be easy enough to keep track of. And perhaps you could also eat a few carrot sticks. Good luck to you!

what is your goal weight, 5'3 and 5'4 ladies?
I just quit Weight Watchers, because they changed the program again, and now it is totally impossible. I am 70 years old this month, barely 5'2" and I started at 173. CW: 143. GW: 137. I picked that weight, because it is at the very top of the healthy weight range for my height and age. And at that weight, all the clothes in my closet will fit me perfectly. I was hoping to reach my goal by my birthday this month, but I am still about 5-6 pounds over. Happy New Year everyone!
