36 yrs old. No kids. No man. I have gotten my weight down twice before, both times below 130. I think unhappiness was a big motivator both times. This time, I want to do this for me. REALLY hoping to get my weight down and if I can put away approx. $25 per week than I can afford to go on a trip to the Dominican Republic next year. What a great event that would be - to travel down south and look good in a bikini while I am there! Crossing my fingers and REALLY hoping I stick this out!!!!!!!
...update...I did get my weight down, and I did go to CUBA!!!...I ALSO found myself a very wonderful, wonderful, wonderful man (here at home, not in Cuba). My wonderful man has two really great kids. Such good stuff...unfortunately I gained back almost 40 pounds in the last year of "dating." So I am back "on the saddle" again. Could there be a wedding in my future? Better exercise as if there is! Work hard Gillian! You can do it!!!
...another update...it is now 2017, I have been married to that wonderful man for almost six years now and loving it! Marriage piled on the pounds, for both of us. Started doing what is called, "the Daniel Plan" this spring and so far I have lost 32 pounds. Basically I am learning to cook again. Back to whole foods and steering away from processed things. We own a small farm now with a great swimming river. I don't swim too much, busy keeping our home organized and running smoothly with foster children. I did go swimming last night though and I often walk in the mornings. I LOVE the morning air. So here is too another good effort toward the body I want. I really hope I don't give up on myself.
