How do you deal with the junk food cravings
I like to keep a variety of vegetables ready to eat in the crisper. I try to stay with the lower calorie choices like cauliflower and broccoli but do keep carrots also. I keep raw almonds but am aware of the number I eat as nuts are high calorie and I count calories. I keep honey crisp apples also. I find these foods to be fairly filling so they work for me. I also find it helpful to drink lots of water but if I get tired of that hot decaf tea seems to satisfy cravings also. If I am really hungry and have used my calorie quota I make a protein shake with unsweetened almond milk, a little vanilla flavoring, no calorie sweetener and frozen strawberries that I keep for this purpose.

Diet Soda - HELP
I'll have to agree with halfraz. I substitute diet drinks for sodas with sugar. I don't count them, but it is probably around two a day. I've lost almost 30 pounds since January so I can definitely lose weight and still drink them. I have no idea if there are other harmful effects but hindering weight loss is not one of them, at least for me.

A small step for mankind, a giant step for me.
Best of luck. We've never corresponded, but you have been an inspiration to me on many occasions. I am glad to hear that you don't plan on leaving us.
