I boxed during my teens and twenties, sucking weight to fight at 147, rehydrating overnight to the upper 150's, with a comfortable street weight in the 170's. The sport gave me the yo-yo mentality, and through my thirties, I'd cut weight quickly then regain it quickly.
Now, in my forties, older and hopefully wiser, I'm trying to be smarter. I'm blessed with a great wife, and I actually have my dream job, writing novels. But I've learned that sitting on my butt, making stuff up, doesn't burn many calories, so... Fat Secret. For the last year and a half, I've been pretty dedicated, taking off 30-some pounds, and I feel great. My goal weight is somewhere in the 170's. I'll see precisely where when I get there.
I'm thankful for this community and all the great support I've received here. Down with the naysayers!
