Between January 2008 and June 2010 I dropped from about 215 lbs down to 140 lbs. I used the basics - diet, including calorie counting, and exercise. In the process, I became a runner. I ran a half-marathon in May 2010. Between then and January 2011, I was able to maintain my weight without counting calories - just by being sensible about food. I fluctuated between 140 lbs and 150 lbs.
Despite all the weigh loss, I still have excess fat. In January 2011, I decided that it was time to lose 'the last 10 pounds'. I'm training for a marathon, so thought I could do it without counting calories. It wasn't nearly as effective, and I realized that I should start being systematic about my food take again. This time I've brought my calorie counting to the cloud. So here I am!
