New member. need some tips on not eating at night

This works for me too. I suggest you have a healthy early diner (i try to eat by 7pm). Then i go to bed early. The longer you stay awake the more chances you have to be hungry.
If you eat enough and healthy throughout the day, you should be ok.

Carrot juice curbs my sugar craving. So does cantalope. if i find myself obsessing over an apple cake, i sleep over it and if i still do the following day, i just have it and move on!

What seems to be the best motivation for everyone?
Mike said it like it is. Let life itself be the biggest motivation. Let good health be a motivation.

You will always be surrounded by "bad" food. You have to make a choice, will you eat it or won't you? Whatever you decide to do, the key is moderation.

I used my weight as an excuse to justify being unhappy. I made an active decision to stop it and to start being happy. I have only one regret: not having done it sooner.

@King - isn't it funny how people expect some kind of magic stuff or big secret that would make the years of unhealty lifestyle go away overnight? and they expect to have to make no efforts nor sacrifices. Sometimes i feel bad given them a reality check .... but I am so happy i made all those sacrifices!

What has been your feel good moment recently?
Mary Saa - crossing your legs! way to go girl!

KingK - as handsome as ever!!!! you simply do not cease to amaze me!

1/ Jean feel good moment - forgotten Gap jean, size 30, bought in 2003, not worn since 2006. Fits perfectly since last month!

2/ Family feel good moment (my personal favorite) - parents divorced a long time ago, did not talk to each other for close to 10 years. mother is visiting, she saw the new improved version of me and called father to tell him :"your daughter looks stunning, you would be proud of her!"

3/ Work feel good moment - my colleagues asking:"how do you manage to remain so slim". "me" and "slim" in the same sentence .... pure bliss!

4/ Friends feel good moment: writing an email to over 10 friends, at their request, explaining how i managed to loose so much weight

5/ Shopping feel good moment (my 2nd personal favorite): being carded when buying a bottle of wineVery Happy

all so rewarding .....
