I've been on the keto lifestyle for 1 month. I started at 269 and am down to 257. I'm still fat. LOL. Some good things are happening though. I'm in ketosis so my brain is on overdrive and loving the fat. All the bloating is gone, my feet and hands are normal and have bones now. Plus, my feet aren't painful anymore from my skin stretched like a water balloon. The inflammation that was causing my knees and joints to ache and twinge is gone. No more random sharp pains or achy knees. This is real life stuff. Can't check my blood sugar because my meter broke and my Dr won't prescribe a new one until I go see her which I can't do til March! Oh well, I will just eat the right way (0-10 grams of carbs a day) and I KNOW my BS will be fine.

Talking about being fine, usually when I begin KETO again, again, again, I'm obsessed with my next mouthful of food, agonizing over when and what I'll be eating. This time around, I'm NOT HUNGRY ever, I eat once a day and that seems to be enough. I'm also BUSY. Starting a new hobby, chainmail jewelry, how cool is that? And I have a moulage event coming up, making up victims for a first responder training. Gory blood and head wounds, broken legs, impalement. Another cool thing!

Last thing which is a positive, can we talk about s e x? Not sure but losing a little has improved my mood a lot. My DH and I met when I was 16 and he was 17. We have been through everything together including my eight swings up and down, mostly up. He is always supportive but I have to say, oo la la things are getting spicy. Leather may be involved!

It helps to journal, I love the comments and support and appreciate you all! Pic 12/31/2022 NYE Flapper and Gangster party. So much fun!

Hi you gorgeous peeps! So, I'm looking for a pic of me to upload, trying to find something that isn't too yuck. And I found this pic of myself when I was 14! Yes, I was a lanky skinny thing in hip huggers and rocking that white belt. So, I finally made it under 260 today. 259.1 pounds and I'll accept that. My question is: Why did I think I was fat when I was 14? What is wrong with us that we don't see ourselves as we are? I had friends that were tiny, like sticks. So I though I was fat. I mean, I remember having HIP BONES jutting out when I laid down and a HOLLOW belly! Just makes me mad to think I spent so many years thinking I was fat, then I guess along the way I decided to BE fat. Ugh. Looking at this pic, I embrace the girl I was and I love the woman I am. Fat or not, I'm happy and loved and loving. But I HAVE to get my blood sugar in normal ranges.

Peace out!
