So much has happened during my brief but not first weightloss journey this time around, and while I'm pleased as punch about the physical things... most of the changes have been mental. Those are the ones I'm most proud of.

This for me is no longer about weightloss. I'm on a mission to be fit, and healthy and strong.

Atkins was great for me as a sort of training wheels to become familiar with portion sizes and control, and being okay with eating, but for a long-term eating plan it just didn't fit, so I cut it loose.

I'm not on a "diet" I'm fully submerging myself into a total lifestyle change. In order for that to last a lifetime I can't omit any food groups or demonize anything I choose to eat. That mess is no good for my soul.

I certainly didn't stress about such things as a child. I just ate and ran around playing..never once had any weight problems, and damn it I was happy. I want that feeling back forever so I have no intentions of ever stopping my gym activities. As long as I sweat on the daily I'm gonna be just fine.

While thinking about all this the most wonderful thing occurred to me. At some point down the road I'm going to have to eat way more food than I eat now to maintain the healthy strong body I'm working towards! Can you imagine what that's gonna feel like? I almost can't wait until I'm eating to maintain and fighting to keep the scale from dropping... but wait I must. I'll most certainly be loving and appreciating every step along the way.

What an adventure! 💗

Hey y'all, hope you had a terrific weekend and Father's Day. I'm still logging food and exercise, but I'm doing it on another site now. Since I'm eating from all ze food groups I decided to do that macro tracking and go at it from a IIFYM approach. The food tracker in myfitnesspal deducts calories from all macro categories as I eat them. It's a pretty neat and handy tool for anyone doing the macro thang. I'm still gonna check in here and whatnot, but I can't say I'm gonna miss comments from lookieloos about my diet! Lol

Although there is little movement in the scale the past few days, my sore muscles are telling me good things.... so is the tape measure. I last checked my measurements 2 months ago and I'm down another 8 inches off mah body for a total of 22 1/2 since February 19th. Me and my boobies couldn't be more pleased... I can now wear 3 more bras I had previously gotten too big for! Yayyy for my bewbies!👐😂👏😁

So guys... for those that don't know, this is what body dysmorphia looks like and it is a very common component of eating disorders.

So far I've only noticed this once in here, but it's been brought to my attention that there are multiple members of our community suffering with this.

It's nice to be supportive... who doesn't love support right? But... We need to be supporting the right things like being healthy and alive. When someone is obviously sick, cheering on their continued weightloss is a recipe for disaster. When you cheer on weightloss in someone with body dysmorphia you are mentally reinforcing in their mind that they are doing the right thing and really do need to lose weight... but that weightloss is never really enough. It's a slippery slope into dangerville! We need to look after one another.

Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist, I'm not talking about community members with legitimate weight to lose that are doing intermittent fasting.
There's a HUGE difference between fasting and anorexia.

I will say however that I really feel IF can be dangerous with individuals with a history of eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia for the most part. It's too triggering for relapse or offsetting binges. Just like you wouldn't have an addict use in moderation, ED peeps shouldn't fast. I'm no expert, this is from my own personal experience.

*this has been another rambling pain in the ass Christine post* lol carry on...
