So,I promised myself I'd share on my 1 year anniversary of "new eating" with the FS community. A year ago today, I was 33 pounds heavier and very uncomfortable....I was ready to surrender to trying something different. For the 1st time in my life, I was in an overweight BMI zone, but even more shocking was how the added weight was affecting me emotionally and physically....I have learned so much from this FS family...For me, recording my food intake and incorporating just 20 minutes of an exercise routine w/walking a mile (5) days a week, really kicked off my exciting journey. As I plateaued in September & my schedule increased, I dropped the exercise routine (that I will be starting again next week-possibly w/a new goal, I want that muscle back!) & continued the mile daily....By November, I officially reached my goal. I was hesitant to share photos today, but decided I could...I loved the "before" me, because she had the courage to try something different and I love the knew me, because she gave the "before" me the confidence to stay healthy...I would say I learned that food is NOT the enemy, but a friend who challenges me to be creative...Don't give up!!! Thanks for "listening". (Sidenote, the baby is a friend's)
