Idling at 214 lbs. for the third day, I realize that daily weigh-ins can present a bit of a trap.

I had repeated episodes of orthostatic hypotension (diaphoresis, generalized weakness on standing) late this morning at church, and again early this afternoon, which has happened before when I lost about 15 pounds. I thought it might be "low blood sugar," so I asked an usher for half a glass of OJ. Nope, didn't work. So, I know that my anti-hypertensive medication needs adjustment after this 17.5-pound weight loss.

However, feeling defeated, I bought cookies when I stopped at the supermarket to pick up a prescription and ate a dozen on the way home in the car. (Typical for me, as a "secret eater.")

I covered the binge with extra insulin and adjusted my food intake for the rest of the day. Sheesh!
217.5 lb Lost so far: 67.5 lb.    Still to go: 49.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I won't own a scale for now lol. I know me! I'd obsess! I keep eating like I should and go by how I feel, how clothes fit, etc. things like my rings now sliding off my fingers 😳😜 I weigh when I go to the doctors office or sometimes I can just drop in there and weigh. When I get down in weight some I may buy a good scale. I would only want to weigh once a week though. Daily fluctuations would drive me nuts 😳 Hang in there! Keep doing what you know will work for you. You'll see progress 😁

My bad habit is nibbling, sampling while I'm in the kitchen or cooking. A bit of a secret eater myself! A piece of ham here, a taste of something there. It all adds up though. Don't beat yourself up. We're all human. I have to look at it as it's just one tiny drop in a whole days bucket. Pick yourself up and get right back on track. You can do this and you're worth it ❤️
