I feel SO good today!

For the past couple of days, I haven't had any pain in my (5-months post-op) right foot and ankle.

My first BS test of the day was 100 mg/dL and my week's average now 116 mg/dL (equivalent to an A1c of about 5.68%) -- A MAJOR NSV, especially after yesterday's "bit-o-slip."

After dinner yesterday, I was able to fast for 20.5 hours. Then, I had a filling lunch of 3oz. roast beef and 4 oz. avocado. (I love plain avocado, especially the little ones with the small seeds.) I've planned sea scallops Alfredo over spiral zucchini -- and get to try out my new "spiralizer" gadget!

The FS "FOODS" avocado listings don't account for the cultivars available in the U.S. supermarkets (except for "Hass"), and there are literally dozens of cultivars from Hawaii, California, Florida, Mexico... (Google "types of avocado" and choose one of the graphics that shows pictures. They're still confusing to me.) I wasn't sure how to "count" them. So, I've opted to measure out the flesh in grams rather than rely on descriptions (like "medium").

And, of course, I drink enough water (around 64 oz./day, give or take) to yield urine that's pale yellow. (Darker yellow? Drink more water!)

I'm off to pick up the dog from "Doggie Daycare" before dinner!
