Probably that is what our ancestors did back in cave times; we take shelter in storms.

All I can hear now is Snoopy sitting on top of his dog house typing "It was a dark and stormy night..."

LOL! How'm I supposed to fall asleep with THAT image on my head?

"Suddenly, a KISS rang out!"

What a cool journal for Thursday! Blankie time with the kitties sounds so nice and comfy! A great day for reading that novel that Snoopy would have typed on top of his doghouse. LOL!

I would love to see a thunderstorm. We seldom get them in these parts, once every few years maybe? Most of all we need RAIN! Curl up with the kitties and enjoe the rain :)

Sandy, my nap was lovely. Both kitties curled up in the usual spots. I'm glad it's the 5 pounder that sleeps on top of me, not the 25 pounder . . . Mutt and Jeff!

Gigi, they can be rather scary. I'm an East Coaster and we didn't normally have them as frequently back there either. I've been praying for rain out your way all year. The weather has been really freakish this year, no rain where it's needed most and too much everywhere else. It seems like "Good Morning America" starts every day with fire, floods and drought, all three, every single morning. Hugs!

Be careful with that weather, Johanne. So glad your family is somewhat nearby.

I live in an earth contact house (read, basement) with the front side exposed. It's safer than most. The only worry I really have is a gigantic birch tree, right in front of the door. I don't think it's healthy and if it comes down, the house will be squashed. I've talked to my DIL. Hopefully they will have an arborist visit it soon. If it needs to come down, it will cost around $1,000.
