1200 seems like a good calorie number. When I put in my info, it said to eat 1800 which seems too much. Anybody know why?

you want to stay close to your RDI, this number will decrease as you lose weight, you need to nourish the weight you have so you do not store the fat you want to lose, I had a trainer and nutrition expert for a year last time I lost 105 lbs. Every time you lose 10 lbs you should re enter to get your optimum RDI. I alternate days 1 day right on and the next 200-300 calories less than RDI to keep me from plateau effect...

RDI states I should do 1800 but I know I wont lose on that.I did go over 1200 a little today , I am not use to my BS being in the 80's and I am dizzy. I had plenty to eat today ,I even added a coconut oil several meals but I am still hungry. I guess I need to add more fat tomorrow.

10 years ago I could not move and was borderline diabetic, my trainer and i worked hard to regulate my blood sugar I actually ate 50% carbs and 50% fat +Protein, it kept me in check and it was a lot of food to eat but 13 months I was down 105 lbs and went from size 26 to 10, this time I intend on keeping it off (I gained for a lot of reasons but the kicker was my thyroid stopped working so now I am back on track have 90 lbs to go but will get there and stay healthy too...

Keep up what works for you that is the most important thing to remember! You have to be happy if food make you angry then it is not the right diet for your blood sugar not in check...

Sandy, Do you remember when l tried to help you out for your cal.intake and l said min. 1200 to more like 1500 and l was low balling it not to scare you off so time has passed by and now I'm seeing your Reck RDI is at 1800 sm world so now you have an idea of the desired range for reg.weight lost and your struggling to make 1200 well Rome wasn't built in a day so keep working at does get easier in time.important always make sure your deficit is higher than your intake.

yes I remember!! I try more calories and I kept gaining wt. back ,so I started at 1200 and if I go over a little bit I dont feel so bad.I am not losing but I am not gaining. I think my meds have a lot to do with it.

I like 1500 calories is a more reasonable number. Sometimes getting to the “finish line” fast is all that matters. But if we take our time to study how our body reacts to certain food n exercises. if we take our time to learn about food and how to prepare it so it can be weight loss friendly and the most important thing, learn how to eat after we have lost the weight. I think this would be of great benefit to everyone that struggles. This is the reason that people with weight loss surgery gain weight....if u don’t change forever u will gain the weight back

There's a saying in this woe If you eat more than your deficit you wil gain weight. If you eat to the same amount as your deficit you will remain the same. if youeat less than your deficit you wil lose weight.
