Life is a roller coaster. Just coming out of another vicious flare. In the midst of a flare, I go for days without eating at all (sleeping), then follow what I crave - protein, vegetables, hot/spicy food, fruit, but no sugar or processed foods. Saving grace is chia pudding. During a flare, I am unable to exercise, but I move often and work on ROM (range of motion) continually. If I have a good day or two, I try to catch up on cleaning and taking care of the house, plus some gentle exercise - even a little cardio. This is all new to me and I am trying to learn how to manage my body and learn new ways to accomplish simple tasks. BUT I have maintained weight and even though I still want to lose that last 10 pounds, I need to concentrate on getting better. Can't spend much time on the computer, but come often to check in with everyone, so I am not gone! Love reading how you are all doing - the good, the bad and the ugly. I'm so glad we can be honest with ourselves and share that honesty with others in a safe environment. Keep forging forward everybody, the journey is worth it! You can do this!

Love the quote and I wholeheartedly agree! 😜I’m so sorry you are having a bad flare! Living with a constant illness is the pits and staying positive is tough. I didn’t realize until recently how wired we are biologically for remembering the negative over the positive and so we start with that ss a strike going in to the bad pain days because our memories of those days are so much clearer than the ones of the good days. 🤦🏻‍♀️You do so well at staying up beat! Take care Horshu and hang in there Hon. You’ll figure out this challenge as well. 🙋🏻‍♀️

If it doesn't taste good, I don't eat it! My calories are important to me and if I don't like it, why waste them!

Thank you SMP. Moving day looming? When is it happening? @CoachKitty, I posted that because sometimes you really, really want something that tasted too delicious for words sometime in the past. Then when you got it. it wasn't as great as you thought it was. And I thought it was funny.

I have been guilty at times of continuing eating something that isn't that good and secretly hoping it will begin to taste better. That's stupid! Now I'll ask for a refund.

I agree @trackin64! I’m trying to grow up and stop hearing my mom’s voice talking about people starving or stop thinking about my food budget and just THROW it OUT since my HEALTH budget is MUCH more expensive!!! LOL but it’s so hard to remember that! 🤦🏻‍♀️There’s people starving in India you know? ( and my mind always substitutes in...and downtown under the bridges, so where do you get off throwing away food...)🙇🏻‍♀️

Moving day should be mid June to first of July so I need to start preping and clearing things out now. 🤦🏻‍♀️You know how slowly it goes around flares and doctors and all the rest. 🙇🏻‍♀️Life happens!🤷🏻‍♀️
