Finally disclosed my weight to my boyfriend yesterday. We have been together for coming up to 7 years and I have never ever told him what I weigh (even when I was slim before). Yesterday, however, I just decided it was time. He can see the difference in me, he mentions it virtually everyday and also he isn't stupid, he may have not known exactly what I weigh, but he must have had an idea.

I hadn't told him since I started dieting and exercising purely because I was embarrased, ashamed and didn't want to admit that at my highest I was only about a stone off his weight (he is a whole foot taller than me).

Having now told him, I do feel better, it's no longer a big secret and when I lose weight, instead of saying "I lost a pound", I can say "I'm down to ...". Also, I feel like I'm facing up more to my overweight-ness. I may have been over 200lbs, but I'm doing something about it, and I can't wait until the day when I can say to him "I did it, I reached my goal".

Congrats! It's a big step that you are able to talk about your weight. One of my main reasons to make changes was that I was nearly the same weight as my 6'4" husband. The shame! I recently told him my BF percentage, I don't think he wanted to know. I will tell him again once it's in the normal range. But don't forget, men often underestimate what their partners weigh. And I don't think they care too much. My husband once had to tell someone our weights. He underestimated mine by a stone! And he didn't know that I knew what he had said.
