Down, so I'll take it.

I could be dehydrated. Last night I got a headache and sucked down some salt and NoSalt to get my Na and K up.

I wasn't hungry yesterday --- so after a breakfast omelette I didn't eat more than a couple hundred of calories for the rest of the day.

Last night my ketones were up to 4.9mmol/L.

This morning I'm slugging down my coffee and breakfast. I feel a bit tired and have a slight headache. I'll probably take a nap this morning --- it is Saturday after all, and it's a long weekend, and I've got more PTO next week when I'll be traveling a bit. Chores, errands, working out, they can wait.

Window shopping after breakfast yesterday, I found myself in a bicycle shop. The young woman who was showing me around joked that I better watch out with looking at bikes. A few years ago, she got a bike, and the next thing she knew she was doing triathlons and then selling bikes in a bike shop. It could happen to me, she warned. Funny. I was tempted to buy, but resisted the impulse. I took a card and she wrote down the details of the bike I'm interested in. This morning I'm still thinking about that bike. Might just have to buy it one of these days. Maybe later today I'll go test ride it.

Never give up!

HDK, hope you feel more energized soon. I only did walking for exercise when I started keto, and at times I was exhausted after my first mile. It took several months to build up my endurance; I suspect my body was not yet producing glycogen at a high enough rate - had to re-learn the metabolic pathways to make it from proteins. My endurance is back now.

I’ve had a real craving to get on my bike too. The snow is all around though- so if I don’t get out this weekend I will have to settle for my bike up on my wind trainer... or the gym. Going out for a spin and more electrolytes might help your headache.

When you're dropping 10 "Real" pounds (not the up and down 'water weight' that I do every week) you have to expect your body to keep going into 'repair mode'. It couldn't give a damn about how you 'feel' it is always going to do what it feels it needs to do. Stay your course! :)
