@HansMyles, I have a nodules (goiters) on both thyroid lobes, and have a strong family hx of hyperthyroidism. But, since my T3 and T4 are "normal," my endo prescribes "watchful waiting." From research, I found out that iodine supplementation is recommended, and that it can shrink goiters. I take 2 drops of Lugol's Iodine. My next thyroid ultrasound is in July. It'll be interesting...

We don't use iodized salt, so that's why I supplement daily.

Iodized salt is way too weak anyway 😉 My next us is in June. I tried to heal my thyroid with anthony william's healing program, I'm curious to see if it helped! If not I'll need a surgery and I couldn't do all recommended 90 days *eeek*. He was 100% right with healing my allergies with a similar program. Regarding iodine supplementation I recommend to use natural products like 'dulse', brown alga or kelp. With Lugol you need to take too many other cofactors to do it the correct way. But if you know about Lugol you may know that already 😊

@HansMyles, I hadn't heard about Anthony William's program. I'm working Dr. Ken D. Berry's recommendations on supplementation on my LCHF/keto way of eating. The cofactors (aka "companion nutrients") I include for iodine are selenium, magnesium, and vitamins C, B2, and B3. I take a super B complex with additional B12 along with vitamins D3 and K2-MK7, zinc, CoQ10, omega 3 fatty acids (a lot from meats), and unrefined sea salt (Redmond's). I like knowing the rationale behind Dr. Barry's recommendations, instead of just adding stuff willy-nilly.

Oh, geez -- and omega-3s from avocado, chia seeds, salmon, shrimp, walnuts, spinach, broccoli, eggs... I am thinking about getting my head around a can of sardines, but I'm not there yet!

Yes I can see, you know exactly what to do 🤗 I'll cross my fingers that everything works out for you!🍀 If not, you can check if I was successful with Anthony's recommendations. I hope that there's at least some improvements, even if I wasn't able to do the whole 90 days. We will see 😉
