I know what you mean about being on "hiatus." I returned just after Christmas 2018 after four months away, but I joined FS in 2012 and have had additional "false starts" in 2014, 2017, and earlier in 2018. I am determined to stick the landing this time and reach my goal, to lose a total of 125 pounds since my all-time high of 285, 1992-2003). Keep soldiering on!

Never heard of the whoosh effect. Whiskey for the win! #golosers

Woosh effect- my body likes to hold water in fat cells as kind of a place holder for more fat to move in. This is normal, but when the fat doesnt come back, I just hold onto that water. For whatever reason alchol helps initialize water shed.

And now I understand why I lose 2 pounds after a night drinking jack. Thanks for the info! I’m liking this “woosh effect”! 🙌🏼

Dehydration. Alcohol is a diuretic. I always lose on beer, hard stuff is a toss up. If you search enough there's people that will drink a fifth of vodka to deepen ketosis and lose weight.. Or something along those lines. I never tried that hardcore way.
