Working hard not to panic as the scale read 189 this morning. I was back on track yesterday. I am hoping it is simply water retention in my muscles after exercising up a storm on Monday. I know my clothes still fit but I feel FAT. I'm headed out of town this afternoon too ... to visit a very dear friend for a few days. That of course means eating differently than I do at home. I know I can be reasonable, she eats well, but still ... I'm feeling a little panicked.

On the other hand. I have this voice in my head telling myself to chill out. So what if I have gained a little. I know exactly what to do to take it back off and I'll be home on Saturday. Go and enjoy yourself, come back home and get serious. Nothing to panic about. It is what it is and you've been off your rhythm for a while now ... vacation, trip to Boise ... it isn't a surprise. Do not use this as an excuse to return to old thought patterns of beating up on yourself.

And so it goes. At least I am getting on the scale and I am being truthful with myself and with all of you. It will be okay.

So I need to pack for my trip and it looks like I'll be packing warm clothes as it is cloudy, wet, and a bit chilly here. My girlfriend said it actually snowed at her house last night (about a 3 1/2 hour drive from here). I'm working today and then driving to her house when I'm done.

I am grateful ...

1. that I am paying attention to my weight and have all of you to share this with.
2. for some face-to-face time with my long term very bestest girlfriend ... we always enjoy each other!!!
3. father-in-law had open heart surgery yesterday and so far is doing okay
4. that it is raining, not snowing at my house!
5. for dreaming of possibilities ...

Have a good day my friends. I myself will be working on kindness towards me today ... as I am struggling a bit today. Will you join me? Not in being kind to me!! LOL!!! But in being kind to yourselves! I hope the sun is shining on someone today!!! Take care!!
189.0 lb Lost so far: 70.2 lb.    Still to go: 4.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I have to say, I'd be a little nervous too if I were in your shoes right now - thats why I'm trying to get down as low as I can before Vegas, because I don't want to have to worry about it as much when I come home.... BUT I know you'll do great - eat what you want, but don't go nuts, and maybe go for some nice walks with your BFF to try and work it off. Have a great time buddy, and I'm glad to hear about your FIL - luv ya!!!

I think that you have said it all insofar as the weight in concerned, I don't really think there is anything to worry about there. Just be prudent although I know that it will not be easy with your friend. I'm glad to hear that your FIL is doing well after his surgery and expect that that will solve several things. Have a great trip my friend! :-)

Hi Moose! I'm with you in trying to be kind with myself. Panic on the scale here too, I'm feeling fat and ugly with a swollen body that looks like someone else's. You and I know it is not forever, it will pass because we know why we are here and how to make things better. Have fun with your friend, it's snowing here too, don't forget your warm clothes!

Oh Moose, you actually sound like you have a good balance to me today. I like that you will be try to be kind to yourself above all. I join you, I have felt 'right' wight myself now for sometime. Its quite nice here. I am up, was up more but I know how to bring it down. It just takes time. Since you will be driving, make it a low cal day. Drink you water to repair those muscles, and make sure you stretch after the drive. Most important enjoy your time w/ your friend. I am so frenvious, I want, no need one of those trips so bad right now! Don't worry about your foods so much, stay aware and your body will tell you what you need! :)

Hope your time with your friend is wonderful!!! I'm looking forward to a visit next month with my *bestest* lifelong friend...Hope FIL continues to feel better...have a really superb weekend...hugggs

Hi Moose! You sure have been a busy lady lately and your 5 are wonderful. Glad you are here , happy your fil is doing well and awesome you are getting away again. Be kind to yourself. Don't stress about the eating. You will be back here soon enough and back on track before you know it. I know it. Have a great time.
