Happy Hump Day! What a crazy day yesterday. My attorney friend wanted me to be with his wife at the hospital, but when I called her, she said to just go to their house and hang out. I was constantly in the way of their workers and trash people. Was amazed about their trash service. When my friend kicks the bucket, I'm going to marry his wife. Just kidding! But you get my idea. lol Wondering, am I too lazy to work out today? Have a great day!

Their kid walks in the door from surgery, and the first thing out of his mouth is, "Can you talk to your wife about Vegas?" He wants me to take him to a brothel! I told his mother, "Help!" Then, her husband jumps me about telling her. I told her, he doesn't want that?

Watching reruns of Magnum PI, and were those short, shorts he wore in Hawaii, ever in fashion? He looks ridiculous! lol I love seeing the sites of Hawaii. Hoping we make it there in November. It has been a home away from home. The only place we ever travel. At one time we would go there yearly for two weeks.

Hmm, Warren...warm weather, beaches, a nice ocean breeze....sitting under a favourite tree, watching the waves come in as the sun sets out on the ocean....very nice, good luck on your fall trip plans!!

Oh yes, I remember those days of short shorts on men, and the "up tight in the crotch" look for both men and women. It was uncomfortable even for a woman and must have been even more so for a man. Now that fashion is so silly-looking. That and the bustle kind of make a person glad that fashion does change...

Hey, thanks Steven! Sounds like you're having a great camping adventure. If you like camping, you should come here to the Mt. Whitney portals, where I first started teaching school in Lone Pine, California. They have a mess of lakes to hike too, and Mt. Whitney is the highest mountain in the continental United States. All those western movies were filmed there. John Wayne came to Lone Pine once when I was teaching there to film a commercial. Have a great time, I know Canada has amazing outdoors. Have a great one!

@warren, i love lone pine!! i used to camp at upper gray's meadow every summer. iso beautiful, and the fishing was great!! i learned so many ways to make trout when that's all you have to eat for 3 meals every day, lol! it was fascinating to go thru the museum there, all the old movie stars who filmed there. been up mt. whitney, too, but got altitude headaches so had to give that up. good memories!

April, never met Castro! lol Thanks my dearest buddy! Berley, that is amazing. The portals and Whitney are amazing, and you did a lot more than I did, even though I lived in a trailer there. The thing I was a amazed about, was the Statham World Chess Tournament there in Lone Pine. Statham was the town's millionaire, who held this tournament every year. They would always have two Russian Grandmasters there, and always attracted the best chess players in the world. I loved watching it.

Berley, funny you talk of a museum. Did I miss it, where is that?

@warren, in lone pine there is a little museum tucked away behind the bait & tackle shops with lots of old photos of the alabama hills taken with movie stars who were filming at the time. i don't remember exactly where it is, but i think there was a little alley off the main road that opened onto a few stores in a tiny ittle square, it was back in there. there's also a more traditional museum called the southern inyo museum near the drug store. this brings back some wonderful memories!
