It seems like the weight is finally coming off. Wow, that took quite a while. I've been lingering right where I ended up after Saturday's Indulgence Day, and haven't been able to get the weight back down. It's so frustrating when that happens.
However, yesterday was super low on calories, and the food itself didn't weigh much either, and I am sure that has affected today's weigh-in. I was almost 1000(!) calories too low, I only ate somewhere around the 600. Not good, but I think I will survive a day now and then. Trouble is, today is another day like that.
The plans kinda got messed up yesterday, so I have ended up with not too much food in the fridge, and no leftovers to take to work. So I have made two chef salads - one for lunch and one for dinner. Dinner will be on the fly at work, as I will go straight to the school to teach after. Thursdays I work late, it's a 9 hour day, so there is no break to go eat dinner. It's work, then straight to job number 2. It'll be a LONG day!
Anyways, we had a blast yesterday. "My" drummer and I went to Copenhagen to buy him a new drum kit! It was really cool, we got to go browsing at the music store (as you know, I LOVE doing that), and look at gear, and he took home an awesome drum kit, which he is gonna set up tonight. Hopefully he's got it all worked out for tomorrow's rehearsal with the band. I can't wait to hear it.
Also, I did make it on the exercise yesterday morning. AND I will get on it again right after writing this. It's kinda nice to get that little workout in the mornings, I think I will try to make that part of my daily regimen. I wonder if I can keep myself to it? As you guys know, I suck at exercise. :/
Which reminds me. I posted a thread in the forums yesterday about excuses. As you all know, we all have 'em, and we all use 'em. I use them when it comes to exercise, many of us use them when it comes to losing weight. "Oh, I was really busy, so I had no time to diet" and so on. Fact is, I think, that they are just that - excuses. Does it take longer to prepare (or buy) a healthy meal instead of an unhealthy one? It really doesn't. It's a priority. My big question is, why is it that we put something as important as this to the side, when in many cases (including my own) it could literally save our lives? I don't get it. I don't know why I hesitated 40 YEARS doing this. I have never felt better in my life, and there is no way I'm gonna let myself go back to my old ways. I hope I really truly have seen the light when it comes to my weight.
Anyways, here's me babbling again.
Take care, my friends. Thursday is upon us. Life is good. :)

Yeah for the weight finally shifting... 600 calories, oooh that's low, but I guess once in a while won't hurt - your body won't know what's hit it LOL.... I wonder if it will shock it so much, that it will make you achieve another all time low - can't wait to find out

The excuses post was a great one, Keld. Thanks for that. Good job on the bike (and in the music store)!

Go Keld! Just a quick comment on the excuse part (because I think you're completely right). I think a lot of people use excuses because they're afraid of trying something new, aka losing weight. They dont know HOW to cook themselves healthy meals, they dont know how to properly exercise.. But that's why it's great to have such a fantastic site and resource to learn all about it! GO FS!

@peppy: I totally agree. I find it really sad that we don't learn to cook properly, and that we are AFRAID TO TRY! I mean, how bad can it be? I am/was guilty of this myself. I knew exactly what I needed to do to lose weight, I just didn't do it. Even Wife's worries over my health was not enough - and now that I look back I can't help thinking that it is SO selfish to think like that. We NEED to do this - not only for us, but also for the ones we love. How can it possibly scary to eat right? It baffles me today knowing that I used to think like that. Now, I still like a lot of the "bad" food. I just enjoy it in moderation.

Cooking has now become one of my absolute favorite things to do (when I have some very limited free time of course), especially coming up with new and creative tasty healthy meals. It's time to spread the wealth!
