So I dipped down to 136 during the week, but I'm back at almost 138 😐 I think if I kept my calories below 1700 a day, I'd continue to drop. I just can't seem to be consistent with that & I'm not sure how important it is. With grocery prices up, I'm trying to serve nutritious, tasty meals without breaking the bank. Plus, after being in maintenance for as long as I have. I like some variety. With my oven out of commission, I'm having to do my cooking stove top or, like today, using the crockpot again. I put some country style ribs (that I bought at a reduced price) on this morning. They should be good but not exactly low calorie.

We've had work men out this week to do stuff. One company mapped out where our septic system is. We're having several large trees cut down & don't want their equipment to damage the system. Thursday, I thought we were just getting an evaluation as to what needed to be done to switch our internet over to fiber that is new in our county. They actually got us all hooked up & running 😊 A crew needs to come back & bury the cable from the pole to our house. The guy told us they can hand dig the trench to avoid making a mess of our yard. He strung the cable along the outer side of the garden beds & path. I was happy to know they wouldn't be digging up the yard or driveway. The drive would have been a hard no anyway!

I raked another area of the front yard on Thursday, cleaning up leaves & debris. It was supposed to rain today, but instead, it's just partly cloudy. I'll probably go out & work some more this afternoon.

We got our 3 days in at the Gym this week. I've had some soreness in my hips & lower back, so I've been trying to avoid aggravating that. All in all, though, I feel like I got a pretty good workout each day.

I have an appointment for a haircut Wednesday morning 😊 I haven't had it cut since August, so it's definitely time. I'm looking at maybe having her cut some layers. I'm still growing out the natural color (a mix of silver/ dark). I asked if a toner would take out the more gold blond color & make it more silver. She said she'd need to see my hair, so here's hoping.

Wednesday night is Book Club. We're reading a book by a local author & he's going to be our guest.

My sisters are coming up this weekend. The 4 of us are going over to a mixed use shopping area that my sister that lives close to me & I went to in January. There is a huge antique/ crafts store that was fun. I'm sure they'll have lots of new Spring stuff now.

Enough dawdling. If I'm going to get anything done today, I better get moving.

Sherrye-ive been struggling to keep my weight under 138 since I started daily oatmeal experiment. I mean like a legit struggle. Im trying to stay in a 135-138 window. Below 135 my face starts looking too gaunt above 138 my brain gets set on fire with anxiety about escalating rapidly. I hear you. You and i both know what needs to be done to stay in the target zone it just seems like it should be easier right.

Sounds like a busy time at your house! Hope oven issues get resolved As for getting hair done, My hairdresser uses a toner on my hair every other time I go. It takes away the grassiness and brightens up the gray. Totally worth it!

YOH, yes I know exactly what I'd need to do to get back down to 135. I've been trying to work out in my mind if it's really that important to me. Originally my goal was 145. I started losing more weight after I started working out. I got down to 135 & stayed there for awhile so I lowered my goal. I know that anything over 138 is no longer acceptable (in my mind) but is it OK to fluctuate a little over 135? I have been under 135 by a lb. or 2 as well. I don't really struggle with eating at maintenance these days, but it is harder to cut back to lower calories than that. Especially when I'm working out.

Diana, we're trying to decide if the oven could be repaired or if we just want to buy a new stove. And if so, what stove? We looked at some last week & it opened up some questions. Also, we'd probably have to order it. All of the in stock stoves were stainless & I want white. It's funny that white models now cost more than stainless. My hair is a smorgasbord of colors. Several inches of new growth & the previously colored blonde that is a mix of yellow blond & platinum. In some light it looks fine & some light the gold (brassy) is more pronounced. I just want it to look as natural as possible. I think adding some layers may make the color differences less noticeable.
