debrafrederick's Journal, 19 January 2024

Wooohoooo! Down 4 this fasting period yes! yes! I have been making an extra effort to be in bed and asleep by 10 and my sleep score has gone from 75 to 90. I am feeling great this morning and I will break my fast at 10 am. I want to thank all you fine folks for the encouragement you gave me on the gym-bolt incident. I am going to try to recruit a buddy to go with me to sign up. Once I get past the doorway and see the welcoming face of a hungry salesperson, I will be fine. One of the joys of FS is the fact that we never have to feel alone in our struggles and I love you guys so much for being here when I am in need. I can only hope that I also provide support and inspiration for you as much as you do for me. Ya'll have a fast-tastic day!

💙 I also have had a visceral response that I didn't understand until I spent time reflecting on it. It was worth the time it took to understand why I'd have such a strong reaction to an otherwise innocuous situation. 💙

Good job! Re: sleep it's become one of my favorite things recently, once I started consistently getting 7-9 hours I started to feel like I had so much less stress in my body, cortisol down, inflammation down

You are an inspiration, Deb! I've been off my fasting mojo, and looking at your success, may just get me going again. I've been working physically hard at renovating an old house, so that has kept me out of the gym, but I'm making up for it on the 'job'. My weight loss is stuck, but I know what to do -- it's fasting. I applaud you for sticking with it!

((((((((((((((((((Erika))))))))))))))))))))))))) Miss you much!! You will get back into it, I tend to be project focused....and I can only seem to focus on one at a time, so every time I am involved in one thing, everything else seems to suffer. I aim for balance, but I rarely achieve it. I am striving right now to give everything a decent amount of my attention...funny thing is...the fasting actually allows me to do that...not eating is easier than deciding what to eat, cooking it and then cleaning up the mess...that leaves me time to chase dog hair!!! LMAO!

Thanks Liv! Sara you are doing great and I'm so glad I give you inspiration, just be careful with fasting while you are taking the shots, keep tabs on your glucose when fasting because the shots boost the removal of glucose from your blood and when fasting, there is no glucose going in to remove and it could cause you to drop too low.
