YAY!!! 48 hour fast complete!! This is not a fat loss folks!! Pure water from the Christmas feast gains! But I feel better, swelling is down...I can take off my rings, probably going to leave them off for a while. I have some pretty deep groves in my skin from that swelling. Still a few more pounds to go to get it all off, but it will come. JenJabba mentioned that she avoided the temptations by not wanting to set herself back two weeks, and I'm thinking that is exactly how far back I set myself. Well forward we go!! Ya'll have a very Merry New Year's Eve and I will see you next year! 😁🧨✨🎉✨

You are still down about 6 lbs for December !! In a holiday month where so many see weight gain and rebounds that is admirable and something to be proud of my FS friend. 😀

Good job!!! I hope some of my weight gain is just water but I fear not. You are doing great! Have lost a bunch of weight and are well over half way to your goal! You can really peel it off when you set your mind to it!!!

Morticia, I gained 26 pounds in the month after I had Covid, like you I thought not being able to taste anything would result in a loss, but after discovering I could taste tomato sauce, combined with the steroid hunger....well it was not pretty!!! It took me from September 7th to October 26th to get back to my pre-covid weight. My fasting protocol is considered extreme, if I went with more conventional ways of being in a deficit, it would have taken longer than that to get back to where I was. Fasting works for me, it's not something I would recommend for everyone, but if you work your way back to doing what you were doing before, the weight will come back off for you too!!! Honeebuns, thanks for that, I have not bothered to look at the entire month's totals, it's good to know!

I agree with Jens philosophy. I’m fighting to get back to 130 lbs…I’m eating well, exercising, etc but the weight is stubbornly still there. I’ll keep eating healthier as I do feel better. Glad you are getting back to where you want to be as well!

I think I am going to apply that philosophy to my temptations moving forward, I have another year till the holidays come again....lets make lots of progress and have better behaviors reinforced when they come again. It's discouraging to see how quickly all of my work is tossed aside when old behaviors re-establish themselves. I'm going to work towards changing my thinking....if this is a lifestyle change, then it should be more ingrained in me by now. I'm thinking that I am talking the talk...but not truely walking the walk! I gotta be more committed!
