YAY! 36 hour fast will be completed at 8 AM, dropped another 2.5 lbs of the Christmas feast! Demons seem under control once again! I got in my Superband workout yesterday, it was harder than I recalled, but I pushed through. I may continue my fast till Sunday morning because I am feeling less swollen, we shall see. Ketones are at 0.9 today, I think if I keep the fast going I would see 1.0 by in the morning. I don't get real high readings on my ketones...I usually stay around 1.5 sometimes jumping up to 2.3 when fasting, so I have read..over time your body gets more efficient at burning ketones and there is less waste, the ketones that you can measure are the waste, so I don't get worried about not seeing high ketones, I just need to know they are there. Ya'll have a fabulous Saturday!

Thanks guys, going good so far. When I closed the PO this morning, I had to go help hubby with painting a bathroom in a rental house. He fired his help because they were supposed to do the paint and final cleanout and they both turned in 8 hours for doing the work, but when he went there this morning the 10 x 10 bathroom only 1 wall painted and they had tracked paint shoe prints all over the house....so I went over and cleaned up the floors and finished throwing out move out trash while he finished the painting. He's so mad he could spit nails. I got all the paint up off the floor...thank goodness it was water based. Now the floors are all clean, bathroom is painted and the house is ready for move in. Those guys turned in 16 hours for less than 30 minutes of actual work. The two of us got the entire job finished in 3 hours. I don't understand people like that. What was I saying about expectations on TJ's post? We pay these guys 25.00 bucks an hour, we expect them to do the work they are given to do, this is the last time they will disappoint us. Someone out there will give an honest days work for an honest days pay. Hubby is way too nice to some people. I'm afraid I would have had more to say to them than, I will no longer be needing your services. I'm afraid I would have to tell them what I really feel!! Rant over! So, I am cooking him a pot of chicken and rice and I am going to continue my fast till tomorrow morning!!!

Thanks guys! I wish it was actual weight loss and not simply a reduction in fluids caused by over-eating, Dr. Fung says feast, then fast......but I don't think he meant pig out till you are ill when he says feast. Two steps forwards and three steps back does not do anything for progressing forwards....it just kinda digs a hole that you have to figure out how to climb out of. So climbing out continues!

Thanks Zen! I kept it reined in today. Had our blackeyed peas and greens, some strawberries with whipped heavy cream. It was yummy but no going overboard. We spent the morning at the ER...hubby was having painful stomach cramps and diarrhea. We thought maybe it was his gall bladder because his stomach was tight and distended, but two x-rays, a contrast CT scan and blood-work showed nothing abnormal. Personally, I believe it was stress induced. He was really upset about what those guys did, and he was upset about firing them. He thought they were his friends. I believe that is enough to send anyone's stomach into fits. So he is on a bland foods diet for a few days while he gets in to see his gastroenterologist. He's never been diagnosed with IBD, but he has had some moments over the years when I think he has it and for him it's triggered by stress. We just wanted to rule out any seriously life threatening issues so to the ER we went.

That's great (about your food choices), Deb! Since I'm such a picky eater & eat none of the traditional New Year's greens & brown, I had tacos with salsa verde & cilantro and keto tortillas...lol. Blueberries with LC yogurt for dessert. I'm sorry your hubby had stomach issues. Stress can really do it! I had just a small bout with the same thing yesterday (work related stress). I'm so glad that it doesn't seem to be anything serious! Keep me updated. It's a shame some people are the way they are...smh!

Wow, I could have swore I commented on this, for some reason it did not post! Anyways, starting anything new can create stressors, I hate that you feel yours in your digestive system too, good luck with the new job! Hubby is better this morning, overnight...as he slept (relaxed) he started passing gas.....lots of it. Tummy is less tight this morning. It brought to mind some movie I watched years ago...woman tells her estranged husband...You drink too much, you laugh too loud at your own jokes and you fart in your sleep! LOL
