*Sigh* Well it's better than yesterday! I was up by 13 pounds the day after Christmas! I went overboard and ate everything in sight, plus some stuff that was hidden! I baked yeast rolls...thought I could handle it...I was wrong! I logged the actual meals, did not log the zips through the kitchen grabbing another roll and stuffing it with ham...there was 2 people and 12 rolls...rolls were all gone! Then the pie, then the ice cream...hunted down hubby's stash of M&M's to put on the Blue Bell Rocky Road. What I did log was LOADED with sodium so I swelled up like a balloon. Thankfully a tanker full of water yesterday flushed a lot of that away, seems like I woke up every 15 minutes last night to go to the bathroom! Since I still can't remove my rings. There is still more to flush. It was a great meal! All of our favorites! The steady deluge of rain kept us and the dogs inside for most of the day and we spent the day eating and the dogs spent the day chewing on their Christmas presents! Kongs for the big dogs, Nyla antlers and Lamb Chops for the littles. I was going to attempt a fast, it's a no-go, the carb overload has my body screaming for food. Leftovers have been frozen, I may have to do a sardine fast to get back into ketosis and keep tanking up on the water till the swelling goes away. I don't know what I was thinking with the baking of the rolls, I created a portable, edible plate for grazing and graze I did! Now it's damage control! Ya'll have a great day!!!

Damage done, the plan is now in place, you have water to help with the sodium I'm sure that next week you will be rocking out! It's only the once a year and it sounds like your family had a wonderful time which sounds worth the extra time to me. Happy holidays my dear!

Thanks guys!!! I have heard not a peep from the Postal Powers that Be, so I am guessing that the ill ones are back and the current version of normal is in place! Now all I have to do is get my overfed A$$ motivated to move again!!

I have eaten a lot too the past week and am actually tired of rich food. Not much left here now as I made small amounts and it will be eaten and get back to normal after the first.

LOLOLOL So, after logging the food, my ads on all of my web pages are covered in Smithfield Ham ads, every page is showing a mouthwatering spiral sliced ham or pork loin with a basket of lovely dinner rolls...OMG! gonna have to surf with my eyes closed!!! Maybe I will do a search for sexy lingerie, some Victoria's Secret to change my ads.

Those rolls would’ve been my downfall as well. I absolutely love any homemade bread!!

YAY! I needed a Wire Break Locator for my pet safe fence, so I did a search for that, now all of my ads are pet safe products! LOL! MzMon, my love for baking homemade bread is one of the reasons why I am in the shape I'm in now! I just can't!!!!

We will get there Diana!! Thank goodness NY's was always a drinking holiday for us back in the day.....it was never an eating holiday! We have not drank in over 22 years, so I'm good to go!

Morticia, I had a LOT of leftovers....I was on a massive sugar rush so I got busy in the kitchen and fixed Hubby a plate for the next day and then I portioned and froze ALL of the rest of it. Now it's safely frozen and no longer a threat. It's the only time in the entire day that common sense poked it's head up. If I had done that at 3 instead of 11:00 PM, I probably would be in better shape with only a three hour feeding frenzy instead of 11 hours total. Hell I was still stealing bites here and there while I was packing it up!!! YIKES!!!

I hope you feel better soon. Sometimes overindulgence just isn’t worth the temporary satisfaction. I have had to relearn that lesson over and over again.

i have often gone to sites like Tiffany's, Mercedes Benz etc....high end stuff that I of course could never afford, to change my add feed 🤣

You dumbed 5lbs of water in 1 day?! I'm impressed!!! I didn't have rolls, sis, but the pastry (dumplings) is pretty much the same thing. We actually ate (for the 1st time...lol) on Christmas Eve. I must have had 10-12 plates of it in those two days, with pineapple pudding accompanying each plate. There was also TWO ENTIRE cans of cranberry sauce involved. The crazy part?? I had planned not even cooking for Christmas in the beginning, then my nephew bought a turkey for me to cook. I looked at that lonely turkey & thought "No way you can have turkey without ALL the fixings!" 🙃 Does that make turkey a trigger food for me?? lol Anywhooo... We've got this, sis! 💜🤙 At least we have a plan to get the beast back under control.

I'm shedding a good bit of water today. I was on my way out the door to go to the gym, and my son yelled that he didn't have any clean clothes (my washing machine went out yesterday), so here I am stuck at a laundry mat with no restroom instead. 😬

OMGoodness! Why do major appliances always break during the holidays??? There's not a repair man in sight between Christmas and New Years!!! I hope you managed to hold it! I dropped lots of water because I drank lots of water trying to flush all that salt from the ham and the green bean casserole, The carb induced water won't flush out that easy, gotta do some exercise to turn that loose and I have done none other than my PO workout. Even that was diminished yesterday...only 3 packages :( good news is....all packages (other than the ones returned by my MPO) made it here by Saturday. I had to do some creative delivering solutions for packages that did not get picked up before I closed....I only have 3 parcel lockers for packages that won't fit into a PO Box so I used them for the really large packages and then made up instruction cards with attached keys for my larger, unrented PO boxes. I put the packages in the larger boxes then put the key&card in the recipient's box. I did 10 packages that way and on Tuesday when folks came in to check the mail they said they nearly cried when they saw the keys in their mailboxes. They had been disappointed that they could not get there before I closed to pick up the packages. It made me feel good that I could come up with a solution. Only one package was not picked up and I asked a family member about them, found out they went on a cruise so are out of town. Usually, when Christmas Eve is on a weekday. I stay there till 6 for package delivery for the folks who work all day, don't get off till 5 and still have to commute home. I was one of those customers way before I ever worked for the PO. I know what it feels like to arrive at those doors and find them closed, so I try to be more flexible for my customers. What the Powers that Be don't know can't hurt them.

@Deb I rarely do repair men anyway. I think it's the motor, which is about $150. I'm waiting on word from my power that may be (the hubby 😂) whether to order the part or if we are going to invest in a new one being that it's an old washer anyway. You are such a wonderful public servant, Deb! The water will come off, hun. Maybe add a little lemon to your water??

Fix the old one as long as parts are available, the new washers are 💩 with all the water restriction gadgets built into them. They don't get clothes clean and they don't last!

Guess what I found under some dust last night... My old Jillian Michael's Body Revolution DVDs. 😱 I looked at them out the side of my neck and relocated them under the TV. Am I ready for that b!+@#? 🤔😭 Idk... Though I still love them, my zumba classes have gotten a lot less challenging. 55lbs ago, I put in the "Rocking Body" video (easy) & did 2 minutes before I turned it off. Maybe I can try to get through 2 minutes of JM at a time... 🤣

Good luck with that!!! I did 5 reps of each of those "moves" on Twitter, don't know if they did anything for my organs, but I'm not as stiff as I was LOL, it's movement!
28 Dec 23 by member: debrafrederick
@Deb Yea, I was thinking those movements might be really good for the lymph system...lol. I have no idea what dredging is...lol. I googled it, but all I could find was related to the ocean floor. I guess, apply the same principle to the body. 🤷‍♀️
