Woke up to the anticipated rain this morning. Teddy actually woke me just before 7AM. Hubby got up & took the dogs out & fed them. I dozed but never really fell back to a deep sleep.

I spent the day doing finishing touches on the Christmas decor. I strung the new lights on the garland for the deck rail & finally got them hung a few minutes ago. The greenery is on the , room chandelier & the tiny table top tree is in the guest room. I added a few mini baubles to it.

I had noticed the ceiling fan in the Living room had dust around the edges, so I drug the ladder in to dust it. Lot's more dust than I could see from down below! I did the best I could, but at some point I need to remove the glass light shades & wash them. Won't be happening before Christmas 😏

Tree skirts are in place & I vacuumed....and vacuumed some more. I gathered most of the boxes still in the house & they're stacked in the garage, ready to go into the attic.

I should do some shopping tomorrow.

The menu for our family party is coming together. I'm making Buffalo Chicken Dip, Poppy Seed Ham & Cheese Sliders & Antipasto Kabobs. Everyone contributes something & we'll have quite the spread.

My daughter is coming in Thursday evening from Dallas. Friday, we're supposed to have lunch with my 3 sisters, then some last-minute shopping for the party.

My niece is hosting a cookie baking party on Saturday & I'm trying to figure out if we can go. If I can be sure we're in good shape for Sunday, we should be able to. We had fun at last year's, so I'd really like to make it work.

Next week I plan to get to the Gym Monday & Wednesday. That will probably be it til after my daughter goes home the following Wednesday. Maybe we'll go the Friday before Christmas.

Almost time to make dinner....Chicken & green beans...maybe some rice.
