Ugh!! Well, rebound jumped higher this time. Probably because I managed to get close to my RDI on the refeed yesterday, it's all still in there, no BM. So hubby came back from town with some La Banderita Low Carb tortillas. He actually got them for him, he wanted some sandwich wraps instead of bread. So I had a tuna wrap in one of them for dinner, tasted very doughy to me, but did not send me off into a bender and was a nice break from just a salad. I don't think I will be using them often though because the taste was very off putting. I don't believe it was the tortilla but my taste buds that caused the difference because hubby said they tasted great. The one thing I do miss about bread, buns and whatnot is the ability to hold the protein in a convenient manner so you can eat without a fork 😆. He also brought home chips n dips and I was not even tempted while he sat there crunching! I had no issues with my 84 hour fast, it was even easier this time after doing the 160 hour the previous week. I am irritable on the 2nd day, just something I need to watch out for in my dealings with others. Ya'll have a great day!

No worries, Deb, still a great loss for the month! Isn't it nice not to have any cravings?! I actually cooked the family Spanish rice yesterday (along with asada & refried beans, but rice is one of my weaknesses), and had no problems avoiding it at all. It's crazy how our taste buds change. My well water tastes sweet now?!?! I really need to get that sample down to the local HD & see if they can test it to see what minerals are in it.

Deb, we use Nori - the seaweed wraps for sushi, when we want to roll up a wrap. It's not at all bready, just dried seaweed, super flavorful and loaded with nutrients, including iodine. It might be an acquired taste, but I appreciate a substitute for tortillas. they also last a long time, so you can make it a forever pantry item.

I will have to look into that Erika, it was nice to have a wrap, despite the doughy taste. I have found I can get used to almost any taste.....except beets....

I miss good bread but not every day bread.

weight sure is weird. I've somehow managed to add a pound a day for three consecutive days despite being in a deficit. don't sweat it: either it's due to water weight or you've cracked the law of thermodynamics

LOL Musaa! I've cracked a few laws in my time....@Glen, who says I don't get cranky!! LOL I actually stay in a pretty good mood...except for day two, even then I'm not in a bad mood I'm just irritable and tend to snap at folks when my bullshit level has been exceeded. @Tish, I spent more than a few years baking bread, I had my own Sourdough starter that I nursed and fussed over. I had to switch to making soap because it used the same skill set but turned out no edible products...that is where I was on 2014, I had just stopped making bread and started making soap. Most of the 100+ pounds I lost in those two years was caused my love of baking fine speciality bread.

Boy do I get that. I raised my kids on homemade 'healthy whole grain' baked goods. I baked breads, cookies, cakes, pizza dough, muffins, pancakes. I got at least 130 overweight and raised three kids who are all adults who are struggling with weight issues. I thought I was being a good mom, following the 6-11 servings a day-guidelines. I lived by Jane Broady's healthy high carb living book. Once I figured out - through a lot of suffering, that I had poisoned myself and my family, I took that book and threw it in the trash. I didn't want it to pervert anyone else's life.

did you hear the tortilla your hubby brought home in a skillet before you ate it?
24 Jul 23 by member: ESkinner
ESkinner no I did not heat it, was having a cold tuna wrap so left it soft and flexible, it's the way I have always done cold wraps in the past and they did not taste like that to me. I have not had ANY type of bread-like products in two months, it's likely just my taste-buds. Hubby had an italian wrap and said it tasted great to him, he eats floury stuff all the time.

@Erika, I taught myself how to bake bread from scratch when I first moved to GA, I was so used to living in an urban area that had stuff to do within 2 miles of home and moving to a semi-isolated rural area and moving from an income of 5,000.00 a month to an income of about 1800.00 a month left me at home with nothing to occupy my time. The act of mixing and kneading the bread, letting it rise, punching it down and letting it rise again, forming the loaves, letting them rise, then baking them soothed me, slowed me down. Helped get me adjusted to a slower pace of life and made me some awesome friends because I would bake 4 or 5 loaves a day and drive into Stillmore and share them with the folks at the convenience store and the Post Office. I think it's why I got the job at the Post Office, I was making everyone fat with free homemade bread and Glenda wanted to get me busy doing something else. LOL! It's a great way to make friends though when you are a stranger in town. Everyone smiled when they saw me headed their way!

Everyone loves warm fresh bread and butter. Sadly it turns out to be really bad for some of us!
