Discussion topic: boundaries and your diet! "Old habits die hard" the old adage goes. But, when you are working on improving those habits, lil by lil it becomes easier then before. The successes gain momentum and it feels great to let go of what used to be impossible to do. You share what you do with others who need to know and think they will understand.... but what if they dont? What experiences have you had with people not respecting your way of eating/diet? How did you navigate this difficulty?

A lot of people, including dietitians, disrespect the diet I am on - high protein, lower carb. I am not on Atkins or Keto. My diet is more moderate- up to 100gms of net carbs a day. It isn't a diet for everyone but it is the right diet for me. I'm an R.N. and my doctor prescribed this diet for me. I can't eat the Standard American Diet.

bring new meaning to the word pre game. eat something high in protein and filling prior to going out somewhere then enjoy a smaller portion of something you wouldn't typically eat on your new WOE

I pay them no mind these days. I am 46 years old. I regret living most of those years trying to appease others and always putting myself (beliefs, wants, needs) last. That only leads to mental health issues. The older I get, the less I give a crap about what other people think. DO YOU! 💜
