Day5 - Quitting caffeine has me eating more actual food. i would get 300ish calories from heavy whipping cream in my coffee, plus caffeine and it's appetite suppressant properties. Another reason for gain is digestive changes. i am saddened that my weight is up this high... its only temporary until my body balances out again.
198.4 lb Lost so far: 18.6 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 4.5 lb a week

Suzelite- yes. My ADHD has gotten worse since quitting caffeine. I was taking 2/3 sips of earl gray in the morning to fend off caffeine withdrawal for my kids' sake (i couldnt be a migraine-y mess) gah i remember when i quit alcohol/weed/pills all cold turkey, had to use a weeks vacation saved to cope- it was horrible.

MorticiaAddams- yes, cigarettes is Such a tough one!! My MIL quit after a bout of covid then Bronchitis on top of that. Once she was better she had NO desire to pick it up again- there were moments when she wanted to cave with stress of her divorce but got in the habit of talking on the phone with us instead and she said it helped to talk out her urges. Plus the worst was over with. So i guess she discovered root cause of smoking habit helped- her toxic ex husband!

It's all in a good cause - the ADHD medication will be way better and make your life easier, you just have to get over this hump. I wouldn't worry about the giant uptick; it's just an uptick and 2kg for a woman is absolutely nothing: that's about my monthly variation right there. :) you'd have to eat 14000 extra calories over what you need for it to actually be fat.

I love my coffee in the mornings! I use Torani’s SF S’mores and coconut oil and Thai coconut milk as my”creamer”. A benefit and for my students’ too. Lol I’ve heard both good and bad about caffeine. There are health benefits to green tea and coffee.

Caffeine is a natural diuretic so you are probably holding on to fluid. Hang in there!
