Getting pre- and pro- biotics does seem to curb my appetite. Will continue this to see if it helps in the long run. So far it hasn't stopped the chocolate craving, but maybe moderated it a bit.
168.0 lb Lost so far: 17.0 lb.    Still to go: 23.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Texasgranny! I'm on keto for diabetes as well, and have the same problem with chocolate. I've slowly (slowly) trained myself to get the higher and higher cocoa mass chocolate over the last year; it solves the chocolate desperation problem but doesn't leave me wanting to eat the whole bar. I've now found a really dark chocolate that comes in separate foil packs so I only take one (25g) and it's something like 4 carbs. It's definitely a journey but every idea I have or change I make sets me closer and closer to my goal carbs per day of under 20g. I think the hardest thing is to find foods we can eat... would that be right? I am in with a group of diabetics at work, we share ideas and recipes. I eat a lot of sausages, chicken kebabs, omelets, cheese and salami. The latest amazing thing was a frittata a workmate brought in to share, so that's eggs, filled with ham, and cheese, and chopped up broccoli and spinach. sounds awful but it was sooo good.

So glad it's working for you! I find when I get pre- and probiotics from fiber-rich and fermented foods, it makes so many other things go right 😊
