I'm at a weird point where I don't know what to do. Calories are up but muscle looks good, but fat is definitely showing. Since I'm not drinking I need to keep the diet in check and not replace the calories.
142.0 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 12.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.3 lb a week

it's the hunger levels that really play a game with you now. you can fight back by making yourself feel full all the time by eating super low calorie but high bulk foods but they can be bland and not necessarily bring the same enjoyment from eating as other options. that has always been my trick though and it definitely works. good luck you got this 👍

OTB what do you eat on the weekends? I lose weight at 1200 cals and anything over that even with working out 4 days a week I lose nothing. Suggestions are appreciated!!

Well that's the thing the weekends are just another day for me I don't change anything on the weekends. It that doesn't work for you then my other suggestion would be don't eat above maintenance on the weekends you can still have more calories and slightly more freedom but your not in a forever loop of dieting during the week and undoing on the weekends. You can still eat more but don't lose any progress. My food choices are super boring but highly effective and the quantity that youcan consume for little calories is insane upu will be stuffed. Some of my favorite low calorie highly filling foods are baby carrots I frequently eat a lb a day as I drive around for 175 calories, broccoli, cauliflower, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, egg whites , pasta zero , zucchini, salads without all the dressings and toppings, blueberries, blackberries, non fat no sugar added yogurt. Chicken breast, ground turkey, I do t use any dressings or sauces besides hot sauce it has slast that I need from all the activity and almost no calories

Fish is great too tuna steaks, salmon etc. And the air fryer is one of the best inventions in the world. we cook almost everything in there

I’m with otb on the high volume. Some days I just want to eat everything! A favorite of mine is sliced up sautéed cabbage with marinara. Like spaghetti but huge portion. I add onions a few sliced green olives mushrooms and green peppers. My favorite veggie pizza toppings. Good thin crackers have large portion sizes and salty/crunchy. I drink seltzer waters to have something other than normal and helps stay away from alcohol. 1200 calories sucks. I was there but worked to increase. I was on a restricted calorie diet for so long I had to totally reset my metabolism. I’m sure you look fantastic. We’re our own worst critics🙌

I'm like OTB and lose weight best at 1200 - 1400 calories.

I eat a ton of baby carrots too! Even better are radishes! Super low in calories! If I need extra fat I eat peanut butter on celery. It takes my cravings away! I eat a lot of chicken and fish for dinners as well as lots of fiber filled veggies. I also make my own protein bars. I find I lose weight when maintaining about 1300 calories a day.

All of the above great ideas, added to my list 😋 ... celery chopped up fine with 2-4 tablespoons salsa. Very low cal, hydrating, filling, crunchy and spicey 🔥

It's a struggle when you want to be lean but also want to build muscle. If you choose to build, you have to deal with some fluff.

You're all totally on point. I had to work up the courage to stop drinking now it's the food that I love so much that needs to get into high gear. I ate a ton of zoodles a year or two ago and I think that would do the trick for weekends. I love marinara so that's a good one. Baby carrots I'm so picky on...they always seem wet and slimy so maybe I just need regular carrot sticks haha 😄

Jc I’m picky about baby carrots too. I’ve actually stopped buying them. To me if they are not slimy and wet they taste like ground. So gross. I bought all different brands and it doesn’t matter…gross.

Cheers JC-Suburbangothecatmom, thanks but I feel low because at work I repeat something silly and now the woman I work with nearly fell out with me. Because she thought someone else might get to know. Then we worked with that woman all was well and Maria told me about her daughter not being well and locking herself out. I went downstairs and told the other woman Maria saw red and said I should not have told her, she was right. Then two days later I tell Jim he snaps because for 27 years he has drilled into me not to speak to others, about other people. Then he throws my coat towards the door and said take your coat off at the front door as I complain about how cold the flat is. But to top that we Don't have the heating on until 6.30 pm so the flat is cold anyway. So at work I cannot speak at home I am told off for stupid reasons 🙃 cannot win. Sorry for the moan but this is my life at the moment. So no wonder my weight is up. After my moan. Hope the rest of your Friday is a good one. Loving back. Merry Mel 🤩
