☆ New Low ☆ By .2 lbs. 😊

Hubby looked out the window & saw the deer chomping on something after breakfast. The silly deer was trying to make a meal of garden art 🙄 My froggie whirlygig now has a lot of tooth marks. This prompted me to go out & spray all the perennials that are starting to poke thru the ground. I knew it was time.

It was bath day for the dogs. They're all shiny clean, now.

This afternoon, I planted the striped lily bulbs my daughter in law sent me. I made it easy & put them in planters. After they bloom, I'll decide if they should stay there or if I'd like to plant them elsewhere.

Congratulations on your new low! 👏 Boy, those deer must be hungry. 😄 Maybe it's part goat! It's nice that we can start planning and looking forward to springtime. Hope you enjoy the bulbs when they come up. 💐

Poor deer must be starving. My deer leave the daffodils alone - lots of them popping up in spite of the freezing cold weather. They don't bother the irises either. The nursery has a whole selection tion of deer proof plants, but the deer ate the azaleas anyway! It's against the law to feed them but sometimes I throw potato peels or peels from Brussels sprouts out in the yard and if they find them, well I did t have to throw in the garbage disposal

Fritzy, they don't usually bother my daffodils either. I did find a couple of blooms a few days ago bitten off but spit out on the ground. One of them sampled but didn't like it. Our neighbor says we had twin fawns born late in the season in the neighborhood. They may still be learning what they like. The weather has been warm here, so there is new growth starting. I don't prevent them from eating stuff in the cold weather, but once Spring plants start, I try to discourage them. I have thrown watermelon out for them. They like it.

I know they love peaches! They think I planted the tree for them. I remember driving by a house in the neighborhood a few years ago and lettuce and celery on the lawn. Could have told them the deer won't eat either.
