Over the time my son was home (We drove him to the airport last night :( ) I have neither lost nor gained weight. I consider that a win. Back to my woe and a healthier life. I had 4 treat days/meals in 10 days. I cooked my son whatever he wanted. Lasagna, pierogies, potato pancakes, fresh bread, we had chinese food and the list goes on. I hadn't seen him in just over 7 months. When he comes home for 12 days over new year's I won't be quite as bad. I'll still spoil him but not quite as much. The chinese food we got yesterday did upset my tummy. After we finished early voting (otherwise no vote for the boy) I ordered it on the way home and we picked it up. If we ever want chinese food again I need to find a different place. Their food is just okay but their wings were not that good. I did find out that sugar and rice upset the tummy the most for me and potatoes were more neutral on it.

I haven't made potato pancakes in many years. I have never made them by myself really. I always helped my dad make them and wanted them to taste like his. Somehow I remembered everything he did and they tasted just like his. I was so happy and I started crying because he could have made them and I miss him. Just a minute or so but I actually felt better afterwards.

Thanksgiving is coming up and I have to start meal planning. I cook the staples for everyone but want some for me on my woe. I think a keto pumpkin cheesecake is coming up soon. No one on hubby's side likes cooking so they were happy to let me take all the holidays. I was worried they would upset I volunteered but nope. I can make whatever I want for myself and they are happy they don't have to cook or clean. I won't let them. I'm particular about loading the dishwasher and even hubby isn't allowed to load it. Besides I don't want my pots and pans finish to be scratched or damaged and hubby has done that a few times on my old ones. These were my Christmas gift last year and I refuse to let them be destroyed.
